Form 3 student at Butere Girls' High School commits suicide in the dormitory

A student has committed suicide at Butere Girls in Kakamega County. Local police boss Boniface Lisiolo says the girl, whose body was found on Friday afternoon hanging from her bed, used a neck tie to strangle herself.

All teachers in Kenya and especially public schools teachers should go through compulsory counseling classes. Students are not competitors, they are our responsibility when in schools. We should stop the insecurities and build a loving relationship with our students. It's possible to be loving and firm at the same time. It's a matter of setting realistic boundaries that are influenced by genuine Love! As teachers we are not out there to prove a point. Our toughness is never the ultimate way to gain respect from our students. How do we treat our biological children back at home when they happen to go astray..? We do look for every possible solution to redirect them... let's look at this students as you would have someone else looking after yours

I'm a Christian and all but for the love of God hii case haiwezi kuwa shetani pekee. Ukiweka hi pressure gote kwa mtoto inam affect sana especially cause huu msichana alikuwa orphan. Matendo kama kuchapa watoto huwadhuru akiki
