I’m glad you recognized just how well and subtly designed HTTYD land is in particular. A lot of people miss it because the IP isn’t their favorite of the four
@@WDWCentralI get motion sickness and can’t do that ridiculous spinny spinny ride but BOY will that perfect the land’s visual kineticism. That’s the beauty of the best themed lands, every element is working together. Flat rides, scenic elements, thrill rides, everything. Part of why it will be amazing, and part of why Disney is making a top 5 worst of all time decision to tear out the Rivers of America
Another great video! This place really looks like a masterpiece and I cannot applaud Universal enough for believing in creative and taking the risk. I can't wait to go and hope it is an amazing success!
As a local to Epic Universe I can see how much work and testing has been happening. Rides will have been testing for almost a year before park opening. This will trouble shoot any problems that could over shadow the opening of this great new park.
The only problem with the park in my opinion is that there’s just a lot of dead zones so when you’re leaving a land, you have to come back, but they’ll probably be fixed in the future with more expansions.
Yeah, it'll get filled in over time. This is a great start. I'm really hoping to see what they do to expand the lands or what they decide to do with adding new ones. It is very common for lands to never get planned expansions or park to get brand new lands even though plots have been earmarked for them.
It's cool from a storytelling perspective but from a crowd control perspective it's kinda annoying. Every land (other than the hub) has one entrance/exit which is already bad at Nintendo World in Hollywood. The layout of that land in particular leads to a lot of people just crowding around and it doesn't seem they changed it. 6:10 Also a big difference between Disneyland and Epic Universe is that Disneyland utilizes subtle visual transitions between lands to create a story and a more open feel of where to go. Completely preventing any connection between lands just seems super limited and like a big misstep to me. One of the biggest complaints about Galaxy's edge is how isolated it feels with Everything being hidden away and I feel like this is sort of like that. Right now the layout of the park gives off the vibe of that video game Thrillville.
The whole story behind the park is that you’re entering different portals to completely different universes. How would it make any sense to have subtle transitions between the different lands? They are supposed to feel complete isolated from each other because they’re going for the idea that you’re quite literally stepping through a portal to somewhere new
@ in theory yes, but in practice at some point it will create a bottleneck, take for not a Paris, while there IS a separate exit you STILL have to pass thru Porte Saint Denis at some point either entering of existing

😮

Couldn't agree more!

@@stilts34711 let’s hope all rides work unlike 1990
Nice touch using Holst’s The Planets.
I mean its Epic UNIVERSE... I was not going to miss this opportunity
Very cool 😎

Yup, Disneyland started out as that, until 1959 when The matterhorn opened...
I wonder if the current creative team will update the other lands or rides eventually.
There are rumors about Phase 2 expansions for four of the lands. Celestial Park will also be getting an additional restaurant after the park opens.

Disneyland didn’t have transitions in 1955 each land was isolated…
Each land has a separate entrance at exit. You are not exiting through the same place that you enter in fact, super Nintendo world has three exits.
