    The luthier who built my teakwood Telecaster type guitar from scratch right in his kitchen, on his dining table.
    Come n play said guitar n be amazed at it's amazing playability, awesome fret works - no sharp edges, wonderful tone - teak maybe most expensive but it gives out a very very unique tone, magnificent workmanship that rivals the best from Japan, Korea, Indonesia n the US of A.
    Yes, he is as Indian as you n I are🎸

    The Luthier is very Honest...in India if u can spend money on Iphone then you can afford taylor nad martin also....but in India...majority of people have no idea about music...which is instrumental orchestra classical music...lyrical music is for common people to understand

      Orchestra music is when you play different types of instrument in harmony
      Classic music is the music from our previous generation or time which have defined rules
      Lyrical music is when you play words of a song through any musical instrument

    Wonderful discussion and insightful. I am coming late to this video but thanks for putting this up. It's always nice to hear someone so knowledgeable. I started my guitar journey in lockdown 2019 when I was doing WFH and bought myself the most affordable Yamaha f280. Guitar is doing great till now. I too would recommend to buy only good branded instruments. I had bought Kadence uke too earlier but I have been seeing durability issues there.

    after playing lot of instruments i will say one thing when researching about instruments as beginner... see whats the best possible instrument there is the high priced ones no matter whats the price is look at a great instrument and learn why its costly , and then learn what those things affects and then cut down things till you get to a price you can afford. buy something you can afford if you can afford something that costs 30k as a beginner buy it if you are serious enough it will have an accountability you will learn it with seriousness. keep it in a place where you can see it. preferably outside the bag. play it as much as you can. CHANGE STRINGS frequently enough dont wait for them to snap good strings changes a lot. and have fun playing your instrument

    this is a humble request to john's music, please mention 'country of origin' for all guitar listed on your website. Though this is just a teeny info, it would help us show respect for more ethical manufacturing units and our local luthiers.
    good day.

    • @JohnsmusicIn
      @JohnsmusicIn  3 роки тому

      Since brands like fender, Cort and others keeps shifting their production between China and Indonesia as per their resources it is difficult to mention the country of origin as per the shipments.
      That be told, we don't stock any cheap OEM guitars (below 4k) that has unethical / bondage labor practices.
      All international brands of guitars that is displayed on our website have ethical and professional manufacturing units.

      As the title says it’s a meeting and discussion. We dint intend this to be an interview. This was an attempt to pass on the knowledge of a professional luthier to the masses.

    In short a guitarist needs to buy 3-4 guitars in a decade to fulfill his taste/advancement. It does not mean the guitar's life is 2 years. Any guitar will long last for minimum 6 years without any hassle. A guitar tuner is a must to not exceed recommended tension. Always purchase guitars which cost more than 7k INR (acoustic) and 12k ( electric) for beginners. If one is rich he/she can buy a better in 6 months, else practice rigorously for 4-5 years till one masters. Never buy guitars online as it will be gambling.

    • @JohnsmusicIn
      @JohnsmusicIn  2 роки тому

      Summarised very well.
      However online buying is fine as long as it's a trusted store. Marketplaces like Amazon, flip kart, snapdeal etc will treat it like a regular product and not as an instrument. Hence the buyer has a possibility to receive a bad one.
      Thank you for summarising. Much appreciated! :)
