Great videos. It’s too bad Edelweiss doesn’t have a network of downhill trails. It would be great having something a little larger but still close to Ottawa.
Was there yesterday. What a blast. Couple of spots lead you to a dead stop due to the mud. Was speaking with staff and they mentioned they are completing 2 greens and 2 more blues slated to open for the kids summer camp start. Looking forward to it. Did i hear your buddy had a rental? How did he like the commencal?
I’ve only been to vorlage once, had fun but it was crazy soupy. Now seeing this it makes me think that’s just how it is most often. I know we’ve had a bit of rain recently but still. Does anyone have any input on that or comments?
Sunday was great, definitely a lot less soupy than in this video (from Saturday I am guessing). But agreed, Vorlage needs a little more time after rain than other places.
I was on the trail crew last summer and trying to open the park asap last season meant we didn’t spend enough time on drainage. Its something the trail crew are VERY aware of😂 and they will be working hard through this summer to fix those mudbaths lol. But the main problem with the mountain is that it is mostly clay and it doesn’t like to drain or dry very fast but nonetheless around mid June the trails should be A1 and running fast. I hope you get to go back and really enjoy what it has to offer!!!
@@william_scott2332 yea thanks for the input my man! I’ll def check it out again no doubt. Have a buddy with a seasons there. I’ll wait till mid summer like you say so it’ll hopefully be as nice and dry as possible. Like I said I still had fun the time I went, just unreal muddy and slick haha
Larose forest in Limoges is the best for super easy flow trails in the woods, then the blues at vorlage and the greens and kanawe are totally doable if taken slowly!!!
Nice video, the trails look awesome. I am wondering what the access trail is like to get to the top? Was thinking of going during the week when the lifts aren’t running

Agreed! All the ski hills should have mtb trails in summer.
Hello I do not know if you remember me but I’m the kid that you saw the other weak at camp fortune when you were doing the enduro Avent review
I do!

As someone who wants to get into mountain biking and lives in Ottawa got any suggestions for beginner trails or places to try out?
Definitely Vorlage, you could also try trail 66, 67, 68 in the Gatineau park. Domaine Kanawe is also great.
@@CapitalMTB Really appreciate it 👍🏻

They have a new climb trail for this year which is way mellower than the original one. I think it’s on average a 4-5% grade.
@@CapitalMTB Awesome, thanks!
Getting it done on the Fluid!
I was on the new Optic actually :)
