Well done in defeating the horde in the last video. Normally players find it difficult as i have no idea how you are suppose to defeat that specific one without prior knowledge, like having the current armour and weapons equipped and at full health (armour at full health as well), as I think you are suppose to defeat hordes with friends rather than solo, as it is not easy. As for getting Black Diamonds, not until you get to the Mines and you get to Orc camps to loot their chests, which are much bigger and deeper within. As for the ones in the Elf Forest area, when you destroy the polls with the flags (which will also stop the enemies from spawning) as they drop keys that open the chest with quality goods, you can simply destroy the chest itself by bashing it if you want to farm the resources, but you need to avoid destroying the flag polls if you choose to do this and simply return to the area and the chest will re-fill itself. If you destroy the flag polls, no more enemies, no more resources from the chests to farm from and that means that it is safe to build your first base in this area near the Mines that is better than the one you started with in the beginning of the game as a base of operations. I get why you destroyed the flags, but a bit of farming for the crystals might helped as there are obvious pros and cons for leaving the camps intact or destroying them. As I said, the Elf Forest is a good place to build a base near the Mines, as the Mines are huge and you are going to need the base to drop resources, to heal and craft new items. Also, learn to drop and roll (dodge) to avoid damage to your armour during combat.
Thanks for the tips and the feedback! That horde fight defo caught me off guard. The advice about Black Diamonds and farming in the Elf Forest is super helpful. I hadn’t really thought about the pros and cons of leaving the camps intact versus destroying them. Bashing the chests to farm resources without taking out the flag poles is a great idea-I might’ve been a little too quick to destroy them. Building a base near the Mines sounds like a solid plan, especially with the access to bigger Orc camps and better loot. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for the next steps. Appreciate you pointing out the balance between farming and making it safe-it’s something I’ll think about more moving forward. Thanks again for sharing all this! It’s awesome hearing other strategies and ideas for getting through the game. 😊
@@InfiniteInput8 No worries. I am yet to buy this game myself and all this was mainly based on what I have seen one other player has done and what my own initiative caught. I am still wrapping my mind around one or two things about this game, but from where you are right now, just focus on building a solid base, expand on it whenever you can, build solid walls for defense, add all items, equipment, furniture ect once you get access to them via expanding your base and when you explore the Mines, take your time, as you are going to be there a good long time, by collecting resources, go back to the base, deposit resources, build statues, find ones that expand your backpack to allow you to hold more resources and find ones that gets you access to better weapons and armour before taking on a big base if you come across one, re-treat from enemies when you can, as fast as you can. Again, see if you can figure out how to dodge as well.
@@InfiniteInput8 You can get your equipment back, just have to learn and remember where you have dropped it as the death head points the way and once you have it, you need to get back to base and repair your armour if you have enough resources.
@@gerriejordaan8385 Thanks for the advice! It sounds like you’ve already picked up a lot of great insights, even without playing yet-that’s impressive! I’ll definitely take your advice onboard, especially about focusing on building up a solid base. Expanding it gradually and adding defenses, furniture, and other upgrades sounds like the perfect way to get more grounded in the game.
