Dear Anton, I have many students across the world, and I can assure you, more people are now learning lute having come from a rock and folk background. Times have changed :-) Also, I have a small comment or two about this lesson, of course with the deepest respect for your playing and teaching. 1. It is perhaps worth pointing out to students that legados (pull off and hammer on) are in my experience much more articulate on gut strings. Of course, not everyone plays with gut strings, but it is another reason for using them. 2. I think it is worth pointing out - as I am sure you would agree - that the second note of a pull off or hammer on is MEANT to sound more quiet than the plucked note. I fear you might lead students to think both sounds should be equal, by contrast there should be a strong/weak relationship. I think you are trying to make the weak note not be too weak, which I would agree with in some circumstances. Best wishes to you, Anton, and Anna too!
Fascinating ! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the strap video!!
It's a blessing to educate the ignorant, I would love a lesson with you one day.
You are welcome:)
Interesting and instructive. Good!
Absolutely loving the new album.
Thank you!
