"If you destroy the Rolex on your wrist you probably have other problems." Truth. When I fell ten feet onto a concrete surface, I broke the fall with my left arm. The bezel on my Submariner got dented. My wrist, however, was levered against the watch and shattered into twenty-five pieces. I had to wear an external fixator (basically a rod that paralleled the forearm and was anchored into the bone to prevent movement) for six months. The orthopaedic surgeon did an amazing job, and I recovered 95% of range of motion in the wrist. The watch still has the dent, but otherwise never missed a beat.
This guy is the most balanced spec op individual I have seen interviewed. His novel approach to reduce mass shootings is incredibly admirable. I hope he and his company succeed spectacularly.
What a GREAT interview!!! Thank you so much. Just when I didn't think I could love your channel more!! What a bad ass warrior!! My dad was a Navy Seabee and when he passed, he just had but a couple of watches. I have his Chase Durer Special Forces which actually started me on the collecting road. My dad would have loved seeing this. If something was Navy issue, he loved it!! I've wanted a Rolex Submariner for a while, but I'm not at that point in life yet, so I got a Tudor Black Bay 58 which gives me much joy as I know Tudors and Rolex were both Navy watches and it makes me think of my dad and his service. Regardless, my dad's watch is still and will always be my favorite. Thanks again for this!!!
Nothing more satisfying to listen to the stories behind each collector. Great episode, and thank you for playing your part to make the world a better place.
Fellow Navy veteran here, supported Seals total respect. Nice to see also the cool hifiman headphones he is wearing. Another crazy hobby rabbit hole. 😉🙌
What a great interview! Of course we’d like to see more interviews with him, or perhaps even joint reviews of new watches. From G-Shock to Rolex to Moser, his perspective would be unique in the community.
Fantastic interview. Inspirational and could not respect him more. I was in the army for several years but there was no combat at the time. For those with negative comments, shame on you.
Wonderful interview so glad we have people like this in this country and to find out he has some of the same interests as many of us that follow this and other channels Please keep your content coming
Love the story of the Deepsea. Too thick for me - but clearly built like a tank! Favourite would be that H Moser. Great collection Sir. (Also, planar magnetic headphones for a video call - this guy goes top shelf with his gear 😁)
I have a similar background to Rob in Australia's special forces. I got into watches after I left the army. I don't have any Rolex, however I do have a G Shock and a Streamliner Centre Seconds. Mine is the original green dial.
testimonials like this really highlights rolex committing corporate suicide by intentionally limiting inventory at ADs. without having popular brands widely available rolex will loose customers like this guy. guys who wanted one, proceed to walk into a local mall, buy it retail, and then go out and have cool stories with them. they're trying to make themselves patek, but rolex doesn't realize that patek doesn't have the same stories and mystique that rolex once did.
I wore an Omega seamaster aqua terra through three Deployment I scratched it up quite a bit. I had it on a rubber strap. So no worries about scratches, only the crystal needed replacing. Like he said why would you do that? Answer Because I could
I’m not a seal but I’ve owned and broken two (second hand fell off once, smashed the crystal another time) and the rubber strapa break after about a year, funnily enough regardless of wether I wear the watch daily or it has been sitting in a drawer for a year 🤷🏼♂️ i think they’re cool, but from my own experience i don’t buy the seal watch narrative
I've never been in the military. I've never been in combat. And even I knew that nobody is wearing a Rolex in combat or during maneuvers at sea. G Shock all the way.
no disrespect, but did this guy read a lot of Wikipedia and play too much Call of Duty? Everyone is different, but I have a DEVGRU friend from childhood, and this could not be more different.
such nonsense. ALL the NSW guys I worked with all had G-Shock and Suunto. One guy had a Sinn and he stuck out like a sore thumb. Our group had 2 Platoons we supported, so about 30 guys rotated through and I never saw a luxury watch. I can't imagine the abuse one of these guys would take if they showed up with a rolex. I had one and they broke my balls every time I crossed paths with them and I finally bought a Sinn on a Nato, since I like the one guy's watch. Even then they broke my stones.
Having a gun is not a crime. Hijacking peoples ring camera or amazon alexa and listening to peoples personal conversations in their home is a felony. You belong in prison.
Seals are possibly a necessary evil, but tattooed sociopath murderers is a given. I despise cancel culture, but for these characters an exception must be made. Only a ponce poseur would care what watches they wear.
Props to you Andrew & Tom for putting out this story, and THANK YOU for your continuing service Mr. Huberty!
Combat-worn Deepsea...Rolex PR team must love him, watchmaker who serviced it afterwards must have cursed him. :D
Hahaha well said!!!
The watchmaker probably be astonished in my opinion

I fell off an electric bike, broke my arm and wrist, covered in blood. Seiko diver was fine.

Yep I was thinking the exact same thing
His watch (Rolex mainly) tells his history - childbirth, wedding, every significant thing! I love it!
Outstanding interview. Rob is great.
Those two videos were awesome, and what a great man as entertaining as courageous
One can only dream to have a relationship with their watch the way he does with his deep sea.
Great episode guys 👍
Fantastic interview ‼️🦾🤌🏼
One of your best shows, guys! You nailed it 👌🏻. So riveting. Thanks a lot!
Great video to hear the Seal talking and sharing his service history!
What a great interview! Of course we’d like to see more interviews with him, or perhaps even joint reviews of new watches. From G-Shock to Rolex to Moser, his perspective would be unique in the community.
Great part 2 interview, thank you, Andrew 🙂👍
Fantastic interview. Inspirational and could not respect him more. I was in the army for several years but there was no combat at the time. For those with negative comments, shame on you.
What an amazing human being!! His words about time at the end....So prophetic! Brilliant episode! Felt a little emotional at the end!!
Tom, Andrew thanks you so much for this interview.
Own two Resco watches. Love them. Great to hear them shouted out!
I would like to know how many stairs he could climb before passing out? No, seriously, I really need that number
Love the mission of Zeroeyes! Thank you for your important work! Hero-tier!
Wonderful interview so glad we have people like this in this country and to find out he has some of the same interests as many of us that follow this and other channels

What a fantastic episode! One of my favorites.
Excellent interview. Amazing guy.
Fantastic interview!!
What a guy! Funny, charming and doing what matters.
Love the story of the Deepsea. Too thick for me - but clearly built like a tank! Favourite would be that H Moser. Great collection Sir. (Also, planar magnetic headphones for a video call - this guy goes top shelf with his gear 😁)
A different kind of watch enthusiast's video and probably one of the most interesting. Thanks to all the talking heads, esp to SEAL
This was a favorite, thanks for having an interesting person on!
Nice Moser - this marine has great taste!
Thank you, Andrew & Tom a interesting second interview with Marine Rob, and his watches 👍 Au
Real guy! Great content
The FerrarI and house line had me In stitches😂👌🏻
Funny how the break Ad was from Chrono 24 😅
A fabulous short series. Fun and interesting.
Really enjoyed this video and the story telling of experiences with the watches on his wrist. Thank you for your service Rob.
The channel continues to evolve!! Bravo👏
Outstanding video presentation! Fascinating watches and even more fascinating story about the guy who wears them. Brilliantly done! 🥃

This guy is charisma personified.
Very interesting to hear from a real professional with his life experiences
Not some reviews like hundreds other!
Fun fact: there is a Rolex out there with the engraving SAS.... only issued to SAS members.... maybe you should make a video about them !
This was great. Fantastic video
Outstanding…
Great interview Rob from gshock to Rolex to Moser that’s awesome 👏. Also amazing mission for your company
Thank you for your service!
Great Interview
Buses never come early, busses are always late
Very cool. thanks!
Another Deepsea guy. Very 😎. Thanks
Deep sea dweller is really for special diving operation ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Watch finder obviously watched Tim Mosso on WatchBox and said wow that guy Tim interviewed is cool ,let’s get him on 😂😂

Once again, a brilliant interview. Could you ask him if he ever wore a Luminox please?

What a gentleman ❤
The Walts will love this!!
Bring him back again🎉🎉
Great job ,bring him back
Love this one!
Holy hell this is incredible
It's good that he has the common sense to get a Rolex.
Rob, I would love to know what watches you made fun of other team members for wearing.
I am so glad to know that there are individuals like this man protecting my republic. And the fact that he is a watch person is the icing on the cake.
I bet even he wouldn’t get offered one by an Authorised Dealer nowadays…
ZeroEyes outstanding need to contact you as Miami Dade Public Schools System could use that
Enjoying this video in January 2025.
I've never been in the military. I've never been in combat. And even I knew that nobody is wearing a Rolex in combat or during maneuvers at sea. G Shock all the way.
Resco 👊🏼

Hes wearing an arya! Hell yah!
Yes, however, what about made in America? Rolex isn’t made in America! Bulova is made in America. The mariner star.
Humbling
👍
Special deep sea SEAL dive teams.
Like the ones that demolished the Nord Stream pipeline.
Thanks Jews.

We need to have involved in more episodes, please.
Shipmate! BZ great interview. 👍🫡
