I have been loc'd for a little over a month now. And even though it feels like time has stood still, I am happy I did it and can't wait to start seeing them mature
Yes, I call it cow-licks too. Southern girl here. 😊 Not getting the whiplash!!😊 I love it! I made 9 months toward the end of Sept. woot woot! Can’t nobody tell me NOTHING, chile. lol But now that you mention it, they are kinda dry. I need to look into a leave-in. You’re looking good. Keep going! I’m excited for us both. I really enjoy your videos.
Yes- slippage in the first 2 years along the hairline can be daunting. Just stay with it! They’ll loc eventually. I believe I would sometimes use clips on them when I washed.
I am 7 months in and I have a couple in the back that have dropped, I have had zero slippage, I am not fully loc’d and love my curly ends. I was very nervous about loc’n my hair because I have dermatitis. My loctician recommended washing my hair with glovers shampoo/conditioner and using the glovers ointment on my scalp and what a difference that product has made. I have very little itching and dandruff. Best decision ever!
I have fine, low-density hair. I started my locs with two-strand twists, and it will be one year on Nov. 19th. The budding stage is a bit of an issue for me, and I'm calling it my "ugly phase." My loctician does retwist, not interlocks, and I'm also struggling with unraveling. I'm really glad I found your page.
I will be 8 mos on Oct 24. I’m excited as well. I’m seeing growth, thickness, and budding. Still having slippage in the back. I’m loving 🥰 them. I love ❤️ the stage I’m in. Also using black oil castor with rosemary, don’t have any edges, but I’m seeing results.
Don’t be out here cutting up when the hair fall. Meanwhile I’m over here fighting for my life every wash day since I’ve gone back to washing every week

The slippage around the perimeter is real and so is the shrinkage. But some of them are trying to loc. But they are thriving. 🎉🎉🎉

@@natkeishabennett3984 Awesome! I stopped using black castor oil when I loc'd my hair but I think I may go back to it.
