This whole EP is so fire and the movie that it is from is dope! It was definitely my favorite movie that came out in 2018. It was written by both Daveed and Rafa and they star in it as well. It is a very interesting story talking about race, police violence, and gentrification in Oakland (where they're from) while incorporating some really cool "heightened reality" and artistic moments. Since you guys liked this so much I would definitely recommend checking the movie out if you're interested.
Finally!! My favorite song by my favorite dream team! This is from the Collin EP they released (along with the Miles EP) in 2018 to go with their movie Blindspotting. Daveed (Dah-veed) is indeed first, Rafa is second. Just call them Diggs and Rafa, they go by that lol. So this is from Diggs’s character’s EP.
Every song on both EPs is great (as well as Seven Nights in Chicago), but this one is my favorite. Also, Blindspotting the movie (and the two seasons of the same name tv show they created as a continuation) are incredible! Highly recommend y’all check out all of it. I’ve only been on board since 2020 but they don’t miss. They both sing well too.
I’d suggest Not a Game from the Collin EP next for the E-40 tie in, that’s why they name dropped him specifically.
