Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "Ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r.

Something really unique about the switch up of sidechain fever, you'll notice whenever notes she does disappear and are replaced with new ones, she's doing 4 of the same notes at a time Which are the ones that disappear, Like how the puyo beans blow up when 4 of the same color are touching. I find that pretty cool honestly.

Regardless how it's a Christmas demo... I love the revamped overworld setting, the first song being updated, the other ones (that are in the game) have updated vocals, a better Menu UI, and two new songs for waiting the next big update :D

To help you out, with all the references, most if not all of them are sega references in some shape or form. Some subtle and others are a bit more obvious if you keep in mind of sega stuff. Grease Poppin''s art is a reference to Sonic 2's american box art, but the spine is Sega Saturn.
