Exactly! I hate when asmr is so prepared and professionally made because it kind of dismantles all of the rural aspects of it and takes away the unpredictability which it what makes asmr so relaxing to watch (also what gives us the “tingles”.)
I feel like Patrick is the only guy who truly understands ASMR. Like other people are good at it and are capable of making good videos, but for some reason it feels like Patrick intuitively understands it on a somatic level, like the ASMR Bhudda having reached enlightenment.

i would honestly like to give you a lot of credit for helping me to lose my dependency on drugs. for a while, i was really codependent on weed but using your asmr as an outlet for relaxation has helped me so much to be more sober and instead enjoy activities in recreational ways. thank you for doing what you do

To me it comes across almost like you have an idea of what you want to do in your videos, but you let it "develop" while recording.
