    Boated these waters for 3 years. Belonged to a small private club @2 miles west of the ICW on the Dania Cut-off canal. The canal started at the southern dock of Port Everglades inlet. There's a fixed bridge at US1 which made the membership very affordable, but allowed for roughly 15ft of clearance. Boaters paradise. Another decent Anchorage for you would have been Maul Lake in North Miami not far from Haulover cut. Lotsa fun to watch the inebriated at the sandbar on the port side of haul over as you're approaching the bridge heading to open water. Cheers, Mike!

      So the bridge on the Okachobee waterway called Myacka has 49 feet of clearance and my nast is 53 so unfortunatly I cant get over to that side withour taking the outside route. Will be sailing through the gulf next season at one point!!

    Happy Birthday 🎉🍻. Great drone shots of the beach. Enjoyed seeing Fort Lauderdale-looks quiet compared to March break. Enjoyed seeing the map and your plans.

    Belated Happy Birthday CAPTAIN MIKE! Am still in Manila. Returning to Toronto on May 7. Excited to get Puffin, my MacGregor 26M, in Lake Ontario to cruise the Trent Severn Waterway from Scabororough Bluffs Sailing Club where I moved. When are you getting back to Toronto? love this - where are the dingy docks in ft Lauderdale? no dingy hassles?

    • @sailingEV888
      @sailingEV888  6 місяців тому

      Google Raw bar fort lauderdale. For 10$ you can dock your dingy and get provisions at many grocery stores. Hope that helps

    Manatee killers at work, lived there back in the eighties and apparently enforcement was way better then! Kind of choking to see that and sad. South Florida is really dipping down in quality of life.

      Better than it getting stolen left in the dingy..

      I'd suggest getting one of those really cheap orange foam PFDs for use in the dinghy. No one would steal it, and if some idiot did, it's cheap to replace. Then you won't have to wear your PFD while shopping in Walmart like a liveaboard badge of honor.

    Why did you leave Bahamas after only visiting Bimini?

    • @sailingEV888
      @sailingEV888  Рік тому +1

      I went to Bimini twice first time alternator failed and spare didnt work. 2nd time my inverter failed so I couldnt make videos. Then I got called back to work. Ive been out here for 6 months and I think we did good getting the boat 1200 nm. Going to head back to Canada to make some more $ so I can continue on. Ev will stay on the hard until then. Its hurricane season now as well. There will still be videos. Next season will be epic!!
