Hands-on with the Sony PMW-F3

- Recently, I was able to get my hands on the new Sony PMW-F3. This compact camera features a 35mm sized sensor and all the formats and functions of the EX1R and EX3. Sony has also incorporated several features previously only available on the highest end cameras, including dual link HD-SDI output (for 1080 60p output and RGB 4:4:4 output) and S-Log gamma modes. Both of these features will be add on features in the future. The sensor is a new design with pixels four times larger than those on a Sony DSLR, which makes it very sensitive and very low noise. We are now taking orders on both the F3L model (without lenses) and F3K model which comes with three Sony branded PL lenses. Watch my video to learn more about this exciting new camera.

Yes you could, any SDI recorder will work with this camera.
Sony hasn't specified exactly what the resolution of the sensor is yet. They are saying that it has pixels nearly 4x larger than those found on a Sony DSLR camera though
We used a Miller Compass 20 Tripod System with Solo Legs.
@Andrew Patterson Yes, it will work with a regular tripod.
@davidjewels I believe that Birger Engineering will be making a Canon EF lens adapter for the F3 sometime in the future.

Can canon EF lenses be mounted with an adapter? If so I'm assuming one will need to first set the aperture using a DSLR before mounting the canon lenses.

which ball head and tripod you are using for this Sony F3K camera? I hope that this camera which came with 35mm,50mm and 85mm lenses will surly help me in making extremely wonderful wedding videos and documentaries.
How much is it altogether and ready to shoot? And what's the post workflow like?
Can this camera use a normal tripod that screws the camera into the bottom or does it need a diffrent type of tripod?
What is the minimum price range of this camera? I want it so bad but it seems so expensive...
