Hi Dan, it’s been a while since your test drive. Nice video, thanks!
Question for you: the first W9 (2019 model) had option for VP V8 350 inboarder with stern drive. A few used ones are now up for sale in Scandinavia and so are the Mercury outboarder versions (mostly 300 HP).
What are the main pros / cons choosing a Mercury outboarder vs VP inboarder. I know the difference in maintenance between them but what about performance, noise level, easy to handle & drive etc. Thanks for elaborating. Cheers!

So outboards are generally faster and we know the maintenance benefits.
Inboards with diesel can be more efficient on fuel and actually easier to manouver around the dock sometimes due to a slightly bigger prop which is deeper in the water giving you better control.
The weight distribution can sometimes benefit an inboard also making the CG more optimal and the ride quality nicer. But every boat is different so you have to test them to see if this is the case of not.
Noise levels can vary. Outboards are generally pretty good these days but a design like the W9 can sometimes cause the sound to echo inside the cockpit. Inboards can also carry noise and more vibrations so again a test would be necessary to compare.

Hi Dan! Nice adition to The nimbus line. I hope you get The chance to try the aquila 36 sport, power cat in Cannes. I wonder how That compares to the adventure boats like The axopar, nimbus And Saxdor.
Greetings from the netherlands! ( you’re so close, bit stil so far away in Cannes) keep up the good work!

I have tried the smaller Aquilla which was super cool. It is a fair and interesting comparison to Axo, Nimbus, Saxdor so if i get a chance after the show I may be able to show you. Currently I don't know the Euro Aquilla guys so we will have to see. Alternatively I will definitely end up testing it in Australia as I know the Aussies dealers and they have plenty in Aus already. Four Winns has a very interesting power cat prototype at the show which will be another one to watch too.

Just a Mavic 2. I need to get the Mavic 3 as the 2 is too slow so hopefully i'll get enough patreons and get that soon.

For those interested in this model or the 'C', Dan's performance video for the T9X is the best of the bunch. No lake, out in 20 kts and some swell + chop, and then some speed runs and a burnout or two inshore. It's a great test video for this wonderful hull form: ua-cam.com/video/-alL7nAJBbA/v-deo.html
