Hi, thanks for showing us the beauty of Dresden. I'm making a historical student film that involves this university, and if it's good enough I might send it to a festival or sell it to a channel, but I don't have a budget to go to Dreseden to film this myself. Can I use a few clips of your video in my film? With attribution of course, and link to your channel?
How do the degree programs work in Germany? In the US there are Bachelor's Degrees, Master's Degrees and Doctorate Degrees. Doctorate Degrees are PhD Doctorates for all non medical and law degrees. MD and OD are exclusively medical degrees from Medical Universities. Law schools offer Juris Doctorates (JD). Afterwards you can obtain a Master's of Laws Degree in some very specialized law program. Bachelor's Degrees are considered undergraduate degrees. Once you obtain a Bachelor's Degree you are considered a graduate. Some of the more famous American engineering universities are: California Tecnical University (Cal-Tec), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and, Purdue University. Perdue University specialises in nano technology.
Pretty similar in Germany as the names of the degrees goes, but the content is different. PhD students are not considered students, but employees of an institute or a univerdity. They are researchers. Also a bachelor's coursework does not include any courses that are not strictly related with your major. If you study physics you have maths, physics and electives such as astronomy or chemistry, but not histiry or languages.
@@totalynotfunnyguy6581 München is extremely leftist. The city directly supports Antifa and extreme mosques while they persecute patriots. Munich is cancer.
Did these brick building erect around the 1900's after wold war 2 and are they doing away with that style while opting for a modern day architecture style building? In Texas Most campuses are made out of brick since brick is pretty cheap and for keeping heat and cold in. The downside to brick is water since brick absorbs water which can cause damage over time. I like the design and hope they preserve the buildings.
Dresden is also one of my favorite German cities.
I love all the trees, wish more cities has them.

Very nice, I doubt it is that old though looks more 1900-ish may the university was founded back then but the buildings are newer.
yes, those are from around 1900.
Is half of Germany under renovation?
yes! We need to invest in infrastructure :)

I think these buildings shown here were built around 1900. I am pretty sure they were destroyed in April 1945 and rebuilt later.
Gormenghast!
I'm going to headbutt you for not saying your numbers correctly. American English is not English anymore. Let's fight, after school. Boom boom!
