So basically we're moving forward at the fastest rate we have done for 25 years, yet there's people out there questioning the boss after ONE dodgy cup defeat with 3 debutants. After everything Steve Cooper has done for us. I swear to god we don't deserve him if that's the case.
I admire your gusto, but it has been evident since we got promoted that SC is not capable of managing a P.L team. The tactics employed mostly are hideous to watch and when they become ineffective it is damning. S.C's substitutions are weak and passive, tactics are weak and passive and man management often divisive cutting out players entirely. If it was not for the Greekfather we would have been relegated along with Taiwan's goals at the end. S.C is a lucky man won't see out the season because a leopard doesn't change their spots, ask the Swansea fans....

Last season away Prem data, 1W, 6D, 12L. 11scored goals in total. Using goals scored as your metric for improvement is a very narrow metric. Resilience has not improved. We lost a 2 goal lead to Man Utd, narrowly beat Sheffield Utd thanks to great goalkeeping from Matt T, and yes we scored against Arsenal but after that goal we never threatened their keeper. So I'm not seeing an improvement. Overall compared to this time last season after 3 games it was 1L 1W, 1 1D, so we're actually worse by a single point.
Last yr we couldn't get near both utd and arsenal away. This yr we were better. That's improvement. Last yr first 3 games were West ham, Everton and newcastle so I'd also say we've played harder games this season.

We have had really poor preparation for the new season again, just like last year, loads of injuries to key players, new keeper, second or even third choice defence and some fans expect us to go out and attack like Manchester City. Last season we learnt a few things. We stopped going 5 at the back each game and we stopped putting Brennan in away from home because he couldn't hold the ball and kept falling over. This season we're making the same mistakes. Stop playing 5 at the back in home games. Learn your lessons and don't unlearn them.

He is another one of those clueless so called supporters who expects us to play tika-taka and dominate posession in an era where possession means literally nothing. Basically to people like him low posession means low block, which in any event has still afforded us a much more solid start than last season.

@Cooperslowblock I agree that no game is a forgone conclusion, yet even against far superior sides we have been competitive and "could" have got something out of those games. We are pretty good at what we do now but the transition into a more expansive style of play (while remaining competitive) will take some time. Allot longer then some realise. Projects take time. We need patience. COYR
Something has to change at the club. In modern football usually its the manager. I dont want that. The negative tactics and terrible decisions must be fixed. And these press conferences are aa boring as the football. Ehm ehm ehm.
