Plumeria is my favorite plant.. but I live in an apartment and maybe will try to grow this in pots as well. Inspiring sir! :) ❤👍
Thanks a lot. So nice of you
Get a good heat mat, grow lamp and you can grow them just about everywhere.
@@terrymd3293 thanks for the info! I'm trying to grow a stem that has leaves already on the stem. Can I put the stem in any type of soil? Then water it every few weeks? I live in Southern California so it's usually sunny here. Oh also when I do initially put the stem into the soil and water the soil should I water the soil so it's very well watered then let it drain out.
@@fannyasilberman7373 It needs to root first. First cut off the leaves. If it looks like a leaf or it's an inflo... Cut it off. When trying to root, the plant needs to focus on growing roots and not anything else. There are a couple of ways to root but one of the easiest is to make a mix of 50/50 potting soil and Perlite. Get a black gallon plastic pot from Home Depot or Lowe's. Measure your cutting about 3" from the bottom and draw a ring at that mark .. that's how deep you want to plant it. Water the soil then pot your plant up to that soil line. You should be about 1" from the top rim of the pot. Place the plant somewhere where it can get bottom heat. Directly on the ground is the best but on concrete is good too. The important thing is to NOT WATER THE SOIL UNTIL IT HAS FULLY FORMED LEAVES. I usually put mine in the garage but on a patio under cover works fine too. Check on it by pressing on the base by the soil line.. as long as it's firm, you're ok. Rooting can take a few months depending on the variety so be patient.
@@terrymd3293 Awesome! Thank you for the insight! And once there are roots and leaves growing then I can water it sparingly it sounds like every month? Just don't saturate the soil of course. Would I use the same soil blend at this point or switch to a cactus soil that has peats moss/perlite kind of blend?
i cant express how happy i am to see this video.. frangipani is my favourite tree.. and i’m so excited to get this planted in my container pot. thank you a million times over.. and i’m really glad you showed even the failed cuttings.. because i faced this situation with my adenium stem propagation .
Thanks a lot.

Hello Surja Kumarji, I'm following your channel and the way you share such useful information is very impressive.
I need your help to save my 7 ft Champa Plant which i recently bought around 10 days from nursery.
From last 3-4 days black spots are visible at back side of many leaves and it's gradually increasing and because of it leaves are becoming yellow and shredding.
I am growing in the apartment because I wanted from a longer time. Is it okay to do so? Will it survive?
Hello Sir,
i hope u r doing well.
Thank u so much Sir for making such good videos.
thanks again sir.
keep it up.
happy gardening sir
So nice of you🙏
I have taken a cutting of champa and planted in a pot. The plant has grown very well in the last 3 years, but the flowers are much smaller than those of the original plant. What is the way to make the flowers bigger?
Fhank you sir. Very useful video. I have this plant at home.
Very genuine channel
Great informative video. Thank you sir! Can you share with us whether the fungicide powder help the cuttings survive when planted straight into the soil without the drying process or did the cuttings without the fungicide, but dried out to callus survive?
I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know a way to get back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me

I got a branch lying roadside with fresh leaves hence it rainy season I want to grow it can i use wood ash instead of antifungal powder pls guide
I don’t know about wood ash, but if you can’t find rooting hormone, you can use cinnamon powder.
Hello sir, I got a plumeria sapling from the nursery 2 months back. It had around 8 leaves and all of them have fallen now. The pink buds in the center of the branch seems to be dormant. There are no signs of growth. What should I do? (I live in Bangalore)
Can you please let me know, after how much time a new plumeria plant grown from cutting will start its flowering? And is there anything needed to be done to start flowering?
Thank you sir nice information
For grafting, how much old should be the mother plant(on which we are grafting the scion)
I think if we cut the leaves it helps to root faster decreasing the work load on the plant during rioting.
True.
Absolutely
During rioting? lol
P L it is a riot to have them root!
Exactly... I did the same
Sir, very informative video!! leaves of my champa plant kept on ground is becoming yellow and falling down. I’m afraid my plant may die. What to do to make it survive? Can I take cutting from it now in January ? Pl reply.
The leaves are supposed to fall every winter. THey go dormant and sleep til March.
Sir, I have a plant which is around 3ft tall, can I make 3 to 4 cutting and plant them, please advice

Some root like structure grow around branches of a 5 yr old tree, about 20 feet high. What r these ? Are these some kind ofvroots which grow on aged trees
Excellent video
Very good information. Please tell me, if you need to put antifungal powder on the plant which is cut also or only on fresh cuttings? Thank you sir.
Exuding liquid attracts fungal attack. Thats why you have to use antifungal powder.
Thank-you 🎉

@Gardening Is Mu Passion (Hindi Version)
Dear Sir, I could gather cuttings in the winters, so, still do I have to keep the cuttings in the shade or in the sunlight?

Hello, I have grown Plumeria pudica from cutting some months back. It's main stem is growing well with regular new leaves. When will the main stem branch out and does it need to be pruned if growing too tall or to produce branching? Also when will the plant start flowering?
Heyy, hv u grown it by the same method of the video ?
@@ridhiporwal4790 Yes similar method. Mine is Plumeria pudica. But I kept only very few leaves in cutting. Also I think I placed cutting sometime during Nov. month so it took 2-3 months to root. I think summer or around monsoon rooting would happen faster. Once rooted, give fertilizer for further growth. But mine grown from cutting is good big plant but doesn't flower yet.
@@vaibhavjain2791
Thank you for a detailed reply
@@ridhiporwal4790 One more information to share. Mine was having main branch growing good. It became tall that it broke one day because of heavy rain and wind last year. I cut that branch and then it started branching from that point. So pruning branch helps produce more branches in Plumeria as well.
@@vaibhavjain2791
Yeah, It applies for all plants
Dada, isnt it necessary to remove leaves of the cuttings for faster and better growth.
Nice sir maine bhi plumeria ki cutting lagai thi wo bhi achy se grow ho gai

Thanks for the informative video. I can see lot of your efforts in preparing such a nice demonstrative video.
I suppose the process would be same to grow Plumeria pudica from cuttings. Can you please confirm? Also is 8 inch pot ok for growing the plant?
Yes you are right
Thanks for confirming. Also would 8 inch pot size be ok for the plant?
Can we grow this in rainy season (August or September) ?
so nice video
My cutting has grown very tall and healthy, planted in soil. But it branched off at 2' and is looking bad. I want branches up, canopy like. Can you guide me please ?
Thanks 😊👍
Thank you so much, I had tried to plant this Champa so many times and failed every time, so I'm going to try again.

Sir I have this tree...n its very tall now...can I cut it from center ....main branch or not ??
What was the powder that was put on them I couldn't understand him on that part
A complete information and guide to grow Champa cuttings.
Generally people have either shallow knowledge or practice direct method mostly without antifungal treatment with controlled watering.
But as an expert, you have covered both the methods with proper steps and precautions which will never fail.
Thanks for sharing. Excellent presentation.
So nice of you
Sir I had successfully done the plumeria cutting according to your video and got some new leaves on the cutting. Suddenly the leaves fell off and now the stem has become soft and starting to become damp. Please advice 😪
Sir can u please make a short video on how to grow plumeria pudica from cuttings, bcoz the plant I am having doesn't get enough of sunlight.
