As the prolific and versatile author of more than 1,000 songs, the accolades showered on Neil Sedaka have been numerous. Among the honours he has received, Sedaka has been inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, has had a street named after him in his hometown of Brooklyn, and was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. With a career spanning six decades, a rare feat in the entertainment world, Sedaka never ceases to amaze.
    * The history of Rock & Roll is simply unimaginable without Neil Sedaka's contributions. Neil is a Rock & Roll pioneer. In concerts, he talks about Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Carole King, Paul Simon and others, and how he's proud to be part of their history.
    * You don't have to count Neil Sedaka's gold records worldwide to know what his name means in the world of Rock & Roll. His songs are so well-known and loved, it's hard to believe there was a time we didn't hear them. Neil Sedaka is one of those pioneers of Rock & Roll, who's still in the business, performing his songs he and others have made famous for more than five decades.
    * Many international artists - including several already inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - have covered his songs: Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Tony Christie, American Idol Winner Clay Aiken, Renee Olstead, Clyde McPhatter, The Carpenters, Andy Williams, Bette Midler, Frank Sinatra, The Captain & Tenille, Connie Francis, Wanda Jackson, Cher, Gloria Estefan, Bobby Vee, The Monkees, Davy Jones, Dee Dee Sharp, The Fifth Dimension, Franki Valli, Helen Shapiro, John Travolta, LaVern Baker, Lesley Gore, Mandy Moore, Neil Diamond, David Cassidy, The Partridge Family, Petula Clark, Randy Crawford, Roy Hamilton, Sheryl Crowe, Sissel Kyrkjebø, The Blue Diamonds, Bobby Sherman, Shirley Bassey, Helen Schneider, Peggy Lee, José Feliciano, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Shelley Fabares, Maria Muldaur, Englebert Humperdinck, Barbi Benton, Bobby Darin, The Clovers, Clay Aiken, Jimmy Clanton, The Marbles, Little Eva, Carole King, Helen Reddy, Nancy Wilson, Mac & Katie Kissoon, David Soul, Agneta Fältskog, ABBA, The Cookies, The Globetrotters, Norman Fox & The Rob Roys, The Tokens, The Chiffons, Rita Coolidge, Emile Ford & The Checkmates, Donny Osmond, Floyd Cramer, Earl Klugh, Tracey Ullman, Ray Conniff, James Last, Caterina Valente, Nino Tempo & April Stevens, Jimmy Justice & The Exchequers, Al Martino, Dinah Washington, Johnny Mathis, Quinn Lemley, Waylon Jennings, Gunther Neefs, Lisa Del Bo, and many more... Besides all being popular entertainers, they've all recorded songs written by the living legend Brill Building songwriter Neil Sedaka.
    * Neil Sedaka has collaborated with many famous names, who're also famous in the world of Rock and Roll, to mention a few: Elton John, King Curtis, Jim Horn, Howard Greenfield, Philip Cody, Carole Bayer Sager, Eddie Grossman, Stan Applebaum, Joe René, Don Kirshner, Lee Holdridge, 10 CC (Eric Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Lol Creme, Kevin Godley), Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkel, Artie Butler, Nigel Olsson, Steve Cropper, George Martin (The Beatles producer), Dan Hartman, Ron Dante (The Archies), Brian Gari, John Farrar (The Shadows), Gary U.S. Bonds, Brian Derek, Mary Wilson, Ashford & Simpson, Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, and many more! In fact, Neil Sedaka is also part of their history...
    * A few hits (we don't mention hem all): Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Laughter In The Rain, Bad Blood, Oh! Carol, Stairway To Heaven, Love Will Keep Us Together, The Immigrant, That's When The Music Takes Me, Calendar Girl, I Go Ape, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (slow version), Standing On The Inside, Solitaire, A Little Lovin', Stupid Cupid, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen, The Queen Of 1964, Shoud've Never Let You Go, The Hungry Years, Love In The Shadows, Steppin' Out, Is This The Way To Amarillo, One Way Ticket ...

What was with Brian Kilmeade? He seemed to get angry about half way through the clip. The other two kept trying to get him to have fun but he just looked like he was pouting about something.

Life in London in the 50's
How I'd like to look, into that little book
The one that has the lock and key
And know the boy that you care for
The boy who's in your Diary.
    Walking hands in hands
    Dancing cheek to cheek
Put your head on my shoulder

Hit maker supreme who was/is a major league classical pianist. Top tier classical pianist. But hey, where in the heck is --- "Laughter In The Rain?" Laughter In The Rain is my favorite song he wrote. Many, many artists have done their own version of it. His lovely daughter "Dara" does a super nice rendition of it. Check it out.
