An unsung gem that, like you I, got it on sale a few years back. I will say that the two player is a bit lacking and of course no sólo player mode is a disappointment but otherwise solid game which also takes up little space on my shelf. I have been working on a solo mode which may end up on BGG.
Have you played the game at the 2 player count? I was wondering if it scales well down to 2.....reading the rulebook just now & saw that there is a variant for 2 players that involves a dummy player. I am generally not a fan of that in a board game. But the game shows off well in your video, enough so that I would still consider it despite the gimmicky nature that a dummy player typically implies. The mechanics are intriguing, I don't mind the theme & I love the artwork! It's a game I hadn't heard of until I watched the video so thanks!
I haven't played at 2 yet unfortunately. But like you I have concerns about the dummy player. I'd probably reach for something else if I just have 2 players.
