@@Tarasimonstudios Mmm. I could have used someone like you to tell my mother that. She insists I'm completely tone-deaf and couldn't carry a tune if it had a handle. Though obviously, my sense of pitch is good enough that I learned to play four musical instruments including the violin, but between my housemate who winces every time I don't hit a note cleanly, and after 30+ years of hearing that from my mother, I keep my singing for when I am alone these days. Thank you very much for the kind words though, I appreciate it. 💜

@@JustAnotherBuckyLover it’s unfortunate that some of the most impactful negative beliefs about ourselves come from those whom are closest to us. I sang along with Coach Jeremy just now and only stopped about 4ish changes above him on the lower register. But I've never explored my lower register as much since I always feel like I'm trying to "catch up" with singers who have a much higher range than me. Last time I measured my full range was G2 - C5. This was capped at "Comfortable" singing range. I didn't break it up into registers though. I just hit the notes with whatever register felt most comfortable. I think I hit C5 with either a mix or head voice. G2 was chest, obviously. I don't think I ever tested my highest chest note. Anyway, this was a couple years back, but now that I have over 10 years self-taught singing experience (and more practice with my head voice thanks to emulating soprano opera music) I wonder where I stand now. (It's too late at night to practice but I will update soon.)

I find it hard to use my voice properly. If someone asked me to sing 'normal' to test my range, I would probably have 2 octaves. But if I'm messing around with different tones and approaches, different genres of music etc, I can mix way up my head voice and probably sing closer to 4 octaves. After years I've still never been able to incorporate the mixed notes in a reliable way into my register, and when I attempt covers I mimic the singer's approach and it usually doesn't work.

His range is basically exactly as my range. When I reach C6, my voice cracks and becomes reaaally tiny. B5 I start to struggle, so A5 it's my singable head voice.
My highest chest voice it's at B4 or C5 (actually I never tried to sing the C5), A4 it's really comfortable, Bb4 it's comfortable in the most of the time, and B4 I start struggling much more.
But I can go to C#2-D2 (it really switchs, but they are predominant, sometimes C#2, sometimes D2, so I would say that D2 I have for sure). Sometimes, it depends of the day, I can reach A1 with chest voice, but doing with a little of vocal fry (it depends too), so I can reach Bb1 (when the days makes me happy, cause I love my low notes lol), but it depends of the day, as I said.
