It's finally here!!! My favourite anime of all time!!! Ah to be abducted by the faes and disappear forever😭 Season 1 is an absolute favourite so far, pretty animation, deep characterisation, soundtrack definitely was top notch, junichi Matsumoto is amazing with his crafts 🛐🛐 Love almost every character, Silky, Ruth, Angie, her daughter Althea, papa barlie Simon, Rahab, Nevin, shanon, Shanahan, her highness Titania, king Oberon, Marielle, Stella, stella's brother Meri,Lindel, Alice, Mikhail.... yes also Joseph 😭 Incase I forgot someone, apologies One of my friends was obsessed with Ashen eye, whyyy, I respect people's yum but, he's pure malice. I agree with some character decisions not being very good, second half went slightly down too, biggest disappointment being the opening change, tho the continuous rewatches made it grew on me. I never noticed it's similarities with Vinland saga, but now that you've mentioned it, it kind of does!! About season 2, don't worry too much, studio Kafka comprises of the many senior animators from Wit studio who initially worked on ancient magus bride's first season, I don't remember why they split up, tho, me and my friends were also fearing for the animation quality but it's still same ol amazing Season 2 will be more about chise questioning and reflecting on her self sacrificing tendencies, it's not a good quality when there are so many people who loves you and appreciates you now. Season 2....uh, won't focus on the fae realm much, it's going to be more human centric, how the humane magic societies work or different hierarchy among them, their messed up politics etc. It's set in college, also a research institution of sorts, many people didn't enjoy the college arc all that much and called it unnecessary but college arc was always in Yamazaki sensei's mind, Personally I liked it, since it went on for 5 years I already grew very attached to the characters (caught up 2 years ago) ((pros of having monthly mangas, with an author always ready with her suitcase to run, ig??)) the new caste is lovely, But even if you don't like it, it's completely fine fandom's opinion is divided on this one anyways. The next arc tho!! (still in the beginning, baby stage) Seems like LINDEL WILL PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE in it!!! he's my favourite 💛🛐 it's still the beginning of, beast arc, another 5-8 years of wait for season 3!! ✊😭 I can go on about this series forever Also you even read Futari to renai shoka????👀 isn't it an absolutely soothing slice of life age gap romance?? I had to read a few Japanese children media after it 🛐🛐
Ayye! I didn't knew it was your Most Favourite Anime!!!! With regarding the second half of the season, I was also missing the whole over the top Magical aspect of it but it was definitely needed to be a proper Character Drama as well - Honestly it's kind of a common thing now for WIT Studio's staff to join other studios for continuing their show, specially since most of the staff already left the studio cuz of low salary (even Production I.G which is the studio that created WIT in the first place has been more active in last 2 years than WIT itself) See, i already knew that Season 2 will not be focusing on the Fae Realm much & is set in a College cuz of all the posters & pictures i was coming across when it started airing, but I really hope to love it cuz am already too attached to this show 😭 Also, Futari to Renai Shoka was so fast paced which I didn't expect from a Yamazaki story & YES! It was really Soothing 🤌
@@Anime_Nerd Hehe, I wasn't really into fantasy before, but after coming across this series it changed forever, now I dig every fantasy media I can XD yet to find something as whimsy as this. Maybe since the second part wasn't as episodic as the first part, we weren't able to explore the magical elements in the same manner?? now there were clear goals and motivations which made the second half a wee bit different and underwhelming?? I'm not sure really Yeah, Japanese animators are way too underpaid, Kafka is an entirely new studio after the split up, tamb being it's first project, can't wait to see more of them. The posters and stuff gives it somewhat, Hogwarts vibes, it's good tho, I'm sure you'll enjoy it Highly recommend fragment chapters, they're extras with no connection to ongoing plot, really gives off the same magical slow episodic vibe Futari to renai shoka was pretty fast paced, but still didn't felt very rushed, it was cute! Opening a small cozy book store must be a dream of every book lover
