Karate combat really deserves a live streaming deal like ONE. They are unique and offer great production FOR UA-cam! Imagine what they would do with that streaming budget. Netflix needs to adapt and add live streaming. Everyone else has a sport why not get on the hype train of karate combat early?
Y'all guys changed my mind about Karate. Never knew that THIS is Karate! I follow your events for quite awhile now and I really enjoy everyone of them. The organization is in every aspect top notch! Probs! ❤️
I've been a fight fan since the early days of UFC. Loved WEC, pride, K1 etc. I've been watching karate combat since the beginning and they are really shaping up into a great organization and it's a perfect balance with traditional karate and also some "new " stuff..the pit walls, 5 second ground n pound (knee on belly or standing) I just really love all of it. Although I'm biased and I'd love to see knees and elbows...but we can't have it all! Really excited for the rest of this season and what's to come
Wow, what an upset! I knew Rocha improved and was coming into this bout well prepared, but I still expected Skrivers to come out on top as he had shown so little weakness so far. But Rocha was much more composed and compact than I anticipated, and his hands were on point. Didn't expect this. Skrivers seemed off. Kinda timid, almost a bit unfocused. Bad day in the office, or perhaps something weight cut or injury related? Anyways, not to take anything away from Rocha's win, the dude showed no fear of the dominant champion, was crisp end determined and just got it done in an impressive way. Great win, another Pitbull champ!
@@raimonds.L Yeah, maybe I'm reading too much into it - he usually starts slower and relaxed and turns it up more and more and drowns his opponent at time progresses. He simply didn't get to that point this time.
@@joeblow9891 i think it's just one more creative thing the show is doing to set itself apart. If this show just had a regular set, etc. without short skits and its own style, it would be just another fighting organization that happens to focus on karate.
Rewatching the main event I realized how Rocha was able to neutralize Skrivers patended forward pressure. Rocha didn't let himself get lured into those in the pocket exchanges and always maintained a sort of a mobile mid range, where he was just outside of Skrivers' preferred infighting position. The key was that he wasn't just running, but maintained the distance with strikes. When Skrivers walked in behind the high guard, Rocha always posted with an extended arm and held Skrivers at bay. He basically had an answer to what Skrivers was doing to his previous opponents: put them on the backfoot constantly, walk them down and get in real close behind a high guard and pummel them from there.
This event was awesome! I feel a little dissapointed with Gustavo because he lost the same way as he did with Joshua Quayhagen (the leg kicks fucked him up). Yanchuk knew that was his weakness and exploited it. Rocha vs Skrivers was great. He deserves the title, really good fight.
Andrés Madera🇻🇪 excelente .todo nuestro apoyo desde de Venezuela ,excelente karateca sensei dejando siempre nuestro país en alto Dios te Bendiga y cuide siempre.🥋
The first requirement is having elite credentials in this sport: winning top tier amateur and professional tournaments, having a minimally recognizable level of prestige at least in your local scene, and maybe a bit of luck. You have to focus on improving your career first, and being the best at what you do no matter your level of competition. If you manage to achieve great outcomes in different degrees of competition, being invited to fight in Karate Combat will be a mere consequence.
Skrivers couldn't retaliate properly because the only thing he knows is to walk forward and throw shots. If the opponent is passive and accepts his terms and pace, he'll gain competitive advantage in the fight. However, Rocha was responding in kind and not letting Skrivers get too comfortable with unilaterally throwing shots. Thus, Skrivers simply couldn't execute his business as usual. His game plan is predictable.
I'm keen to see Rafael Aghaev fight again. I think he fought in the 61kg category at the Olympics so maybe he'll try that weight class after competing last time in KC at 75kg. Gabriel Varga (the kickboxing karate 🐐 ) vs Rafael Aghaev (the WKF 🐐 ) at 62kg would be 🔥
Aghayev used to fight at -67kg way long ago. From 2006 onwards he's pretty much competed under the 75kg limit, apart from a couple openweight tournaments
1) Gustavo vs Nikita: Dionicio Gustavo should learn how to check leg kicks or getting his leg out of the way before they get hits. To his credits, Nikita kicks are essentially what gave him the victory. Also, Dionicio should learn basic grappling techniques. He should cross-train a little. You call tell that Nikita is karateka who cross-trained. 2)Skrivers vs Rocha: _ Skrivers kept stand in front of the Rocha as if he was a punching bag. The helmet guard/boxing guard can only work for so much...Rocha used long-hooked punches to pass Skrivers's helmet guard, got him unbalanced and violently pounded him... - Skrivers and Rocha have and excellent level of stand up/striking games. The both cross trained. Cross training definitely pays its dividends!
Some great Sei-ken Mawashi-uchi strikes from Rocha! Nitpicking a bit: for Season 5, would like to see Karate Combat redesign the Gold Belt a little bit (maybe to look like a Godan (5th degree) Black Belt or Red Belt) to distinguish it a bit more from a Kyu-level Yellow Belt.
Brazil Will be only the unique country Will have in male and female division on karate kombat have 2 belts, 3 belts for each champ.🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴🇲🇴. And no other country on the podium with the belt. Congrats Luiz ya deserve forever. Kill others. Have sucess on Kkombat.
In round 1 I saw skrivers get hit with a hook and was like yep, he's got a good shell guard protecting his centre, but the sides of his face are open. Sure enough he gets knocked down & then hit with 3/4 hooks to the sides of his head in the second round. Also his high guard was exposing him to a lot of body kicks in both rounds. I know how those can tire you and I've been dropped by them before so maybe that's why he looked a little off. Good game planning from his opponent but now I wonder how skrivers's previous opponents didn't capitalise on those opportunities.
rocha no doubt deserves a huge appriciation however skrivers shouldnt fight standing so straight and always eating all the strikes. he should move rite and left on his feet.
Look for a Karate\MMA Dojo. I own a Karate/MMA Dojo and I don’t teach any kata we concentrate on karate strikes, takedowns & grappling. Kata is worthless!!
@@Holygroundmma please teach your students how to avoid oblique kicks, because karate side stance in MMA exposes fighters too much to these dangerous and possibly career-ending strikes.
We want Joshua to show himself and answer this dangerous challenge, he challenges him in front of everyone and in the middle of the ring and promises him to take his belt, he has to accept the challenge and set his date for us, otherwise we will consider him defeated.🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
This Skivers guy suffered from some kind of mental withdraw from fight, he lose before fight ever started , he just was standing and eating punches whole rounds.
Love the sport just don't like the whole neo aspect giving me weird futuristic bidding vibes like that one scene in Shang-chi. If they kept it just Karate styled fighting in a unique pit, it would actually be perfection. But indeed a very entertaining sport to watch especially since they keep the rooted martial arts part of it.

Love the respect that (most) of these fighters have. Especially at this final bout where they were just having a chat afterwards.

this is awesome - more power to karate combat
If Karate Combat makes a console game with the same control style as UFC undisputed 3 I would snatch that immediately
Let's just say that it's too early for that, we need more seasons for karate combat in order for that to happen.
I'd play the crap out of that!

Just wondering why he has fake(good thing though) tattoos on his face.
Outside that, sure Robin Black is on point !
