Amazing video! You answered every single question that has been tormenting me in trying to figure out the right choice to make. Six months of slogging through endless manufacturers' videos and website after website only to have the frustration evaporate in
A good reason for a two piece skirted toilet is that in the Aquia line, you can order the shorter standard height, which can be of help if you are on the shorter side.
Although we don't have a video comparing the different Washlet options, you can see come comparison details on our blog post here: www.manybidets.com/blog/toto-washlet-bidet-seats-neorests/
I recently installed a non washlet + s550e on a new non washlet + Drake and wanted to let you know the autoflush kit still worked! Just wanted to pass along. It looks like maybe on the new drakes the internals are all the same. Good info for those that accidentally purchased a non washlet + like we did 9:20
Thank you for this VERY informative and awesome review! I've spent the last 2 days trying to find this kind of info to no avail. 😣 Nothing I found online provided this much helpful and useful info as this one--THANK YOU! 🤗👍
Thanks for the feedback! We often get questions on the differences between the Neorest toilets. We have a; "How to choose a Neorest" video on our shortlist of videos to produce. Subscribe to our channel if you'd like to see it when it comes out! Thanks again :-)
Glad to hear it! Please let me know if any other questions or concerns come up. We also sell all of these units if you have any interest in purchasing one in the future. Thanks again for the kind words!
Hello Daniel. Great informative video. Am I wrong in saying that one downside of having a skirted toilet is that it makes difficult to spot early signs of a water leak that might be coming from the connections. After all, the hoses are hidden.
It depends on who you ask. We’ve seen multiple respected professionals in the field offer different views on this. In my opinion, in the short term, it’s going to be easier to spot without a skirted design, but if there is a leak, even with a skirt, you'll know pretty quick. I have absolutely had some customers choose non-skirted for that exact reason though.
If it auto flushes with the wand cleaning, that would seem to mean it's properly installed from a functionality standpoint. Have you checked the flush settings on the back of the remote? If you have, and you're still having issues, we can reach out to TOTO on your behalf for further troubleshooting. Just email us the order number you have with us, and a description of the problem, and we'll run with it from there.
@Many Bidets thanks for your simple descriptions. Question: I have a tile floor in the bathroom. Tile is 20 years old. Will ceramic tile break if drilled through? Thanks in advance, I now understand the difference in Washlet and Washlet +!
You sure can! Just use a drill bit designed to drill into tile! We have also found that if you put a little painter's tape down before drilling, the bit won't move around, making for a much cleaner, easier drilling task. Let us know if you decide to purchase or have any other questions!!
Thanks for a great video. Is Toto Drake MS786124CEFG a Washlet+ toilet? From the Toto website it looks like its is but it only shows WASHLET®+ S550e as compatible washlet. Will C2 or C5 not fit this toilet?
Thanks for the question! Any washlet+ toilet that the S550e fits on the C2 and C5 will fit on as well. Basically the breakdown is: Newer model washlet+ toilets work with the S550e, S500e, C5, and C2, older model Washlet+ toilets work with the S350e, S300e, C200, and C100 Thanks for asking! Let me know if you have other questions or concerns!
Are the skirted toilets more prone to plugging? Is there a 3” trap and adaptor skirted toilet available. Am I wrong in assuming everything in this video is 2.5”?
Skirted vs non-skirted really doesn't effect the flushing power. It's an aesthetics thing... That being said, all toilets are different. The Nexus it TOTO's strongest flushing skirted toilet in my opinion.
It depends on the unit, but our most popular skirted Washlet+ units are: Nexus: 14 inch or 12 inch rough in Aquia IV: 14 inch, 12 inch, or 10 inch rough in Let me know what other questions you have!
My water supply comes up from the floor about 3 inches from wall and won't fit the skirted toilet. The toilet won't go back far enough towards the wall. water supply is in the way. Will any of the toto toilets work with a floor mounted water supply?
Thanks for asking! Washlet+ units will work with floor water supplies, but because most washlet+ units are either skirted, or partly skirted, the water supply sometimes needs to be further out than another toilet might require. Your best bet would be a non-skirted washlet+ unit like this one: www.manybidets.com/product/toto-drake-transitional-washlet-s550e-two-piece-toilet-and-bidet-system-1-28-gpf-ada-compliant/ But in order to know if it would work, I'd need to know where your water supply is located exactly, both measurement off the wall (which you said is 3 inches) and ALSO the distance it is off center. With both of those measurements, I'd be able to offer some suggestions. Please feel free to reply to this comment with the extra measurement. thanks so much!
Yes! If you wanted to put a non-washlet+ bidet on a washlet+ toilet, you absolutely could. The cord and hose would just be visible. Thanks for asking! Let me know if other questions come up!!
Thanks for the question! No it will not. The only bidet seats this setup works with if you want the cord and hose hidden are TOTO bidet seats (or washlets) that are designed to work with this setup. TOTO products are also much higher quality than the Alpha JX, and I highly recommend them:-) We're happy to hook you up with any of the washlet+ units on the market should you be interested.
Pricing on washlet+ units change often enough that listing them in the video did not make sense. You can browse our washlet+ units on our site to see the current prices though: www.manybidets.com/product-category/bidet-style/washlet-toilets-with-bidet-seats/?UA-cam&BAWD&
Toto came out with the Drake Transitional model which just has a slightly different aesthetic to the tank trim but is otherwise the same as the standard Drake toilet.
Amazing video! You answered every single question that has been tormenting me in trying to figure out the right choice to make. Six months of slogging through endless manufacturers' videos and website after website only to have the frustration evaporate in

If I get a Drake II with a Washlet+ seat, on which side of the toilet is it best for my electrician to put the outlet? Is it a standard GFI outlet?
TOTO recommends the GFCI outlet is installed on the left side when facing the toilet. The power cords are approx. 4 feet long.
Do you think a review of the TOTO Neorest Air Bath SE with Hydrohands would be forthcoming?
We do not currently have plans to review any TOTO Neorest tubs, as our expertise is really focused around bidets.
@@ManyBidets That's understandable. Thanks for responding.

What is the "rough-in" measurement required to be (or range it can be) for the Fully Skirted" toilet?
It depends on the unit, but our most popular skirted Washlet+ units are:
Nexus: 14 inch or 12 inch rough in
Aquia IV: 14 inch, 12 inch, or 10 inch rough in
Let me know what other questions you have!
I have a TOTO S500E that doesn't appear to be piped for WASHLET +. Is it possible to convert it to work with a new WASHLET + toilet?
There may be a DIY way to do this but we have not tried it and TOTO advises against it so we do not recommend it.
Is "comfort height" the same as Universal or ADA height?
That's correct!

I have a baseboard heater behind my toilet.. looking like that means it isn't compatible.
What's your roughin, and how deep is the baseboard heater?
Can a non Washlet+ seat be mounted on a Washlet+ toilet and the hole where the cord and tube runs through wouldn't be used?
Yes! If you wanted to put a non-washlet+ bidet on a washlet+ toilet, you absolutely could. The cord and hose would just be visible. Thanks for asking! Let me know if other questions come up!!

What is a "transitional" toilet?
Toto came out with the Drake Transitional model which just has a slightly different aesthetic to the tank trim but is otherwise the same as the standard Drake toilet.
