I really glad see your kindness that have them everywhere you go and never let you lovely dogs alone...or abandoned...wish you and your puppy got the happy time in Thailand..
Welcome to Thailand. Hope you have a great time in Phuket. I love your dogs. They are so cute but sometime you have to be careful some stray dogs. They are some are no harm but some are not
I visited Phuket back in 2019 and did what many solo travelers do. I went to the overcrowded Patong Beach and overpaid for just about everything. I also checked out old town and stayed right in the heart of the city a few days before going to Phi Phi. After I got back from Phi Phi and Ao Nang, I returned to Phuket. I was supposed to just stay 1 day at Nai Yang close to the airport, and then head back to BKK. Something about Nai Yang's charm kept me there about 4 or 5 days unwinding after a 3 week constant adventure. I walked 104 miles during my trip, and Nai Yang was the perfect spot to finally chill and be a beach lazy bum a few days.
@@VividAbominations awww thank you for sharing your story…love that you appreciate the charm of Naiyang area as well ☺️ it’s such an underrated part of Phuket!
@@johndey6922 I flew Korean Air which charges different prices depending on your dog’s size. As my dogs are relatively small the price was $300 CAD per dog
@@marisaannadventuresAnd I third it. Dogs roaming are a problem not only on beaches but they usually don't have road sense. A Thai friend had a really bad car accident and was lucky to live after a dog ran in front of her car.
I totally understand your anxieties…Kalinda was able to come with me but Harley had to go in the cargo hold as she’s larger…a few things that really can help…make sure they get lots of exercise the morning of and if your pup is anxious speak to your vet about anxiety medications they can take before the flight (and make sure you do a test run before to ensure you feel safe and securing in knowing how they react) Gabapentin is one option you can ask your vet about. When are you travelling to Thailand and where are you travelling from? If you have any other questions about pet travel please let me know I know it’s so stressful I’m happy to help!
@marisaannadventures thank you! I'm traveling from the states to bangkok thailand. I'm thinking about flying with Qatar since I heard they give dogs a potty break during layovers over 3 hours.
@@Thomastorr no quarantine and the Thai import animals office is so helpful/friendly! The only situation where they would potentially quarantine your pets is if your health certificate paperwork isn’t in proper order

How did you get away with such a small bag for the carry-on for your dog? I was told many times, even though that my dog is less than 18 pounds unless he could stand up comfortably in the soft case, it would not be allowed.?

Any little scratch from one of those dogs ends up being a bit expensive with rabies shots needed.
