Yes Paul cars like Mondeo look and drive nicer than the daft SUV’s (higher roof so more drag so handling not S good plus heavier and more fuel usage. Give me a Focus/Mondeo over SUV anyway.

I'm a big Mondeo fan I have the 2010 and its an amazing ride.
Really hoped that I could buy the new Mondeo but unfortunately in UAE we have the new American fusion only which is no way near the Mondeo in terms of build quality and dash.... Etc

In North America it’s called the Ford fusion in Europe. It’s called the Ford Mondeo.
in America we call this the ford fusion.

Anyone else got a 2015 mondeo 2.0 L EcoBoost with 6 speed auto transmission that makes groaning noises while coasting in city traffic?

i just got an email from the car dealer, that there is a truck outside his office, with my car on it. i will get it the next days... mor exciting than ever...
in the meanwhile, i got the car... simply sensational! there is nothing more to say! i love that car.

The old Mondeo STs were amazing, shame there is no newer alternative

The UK/European market already had a Ford Fusion, completely different car sector so no chance in bringing that name here.

@@aadi8568 Yes, it was taken over by the Ka+ and it's also gone now too. Ford's smallest car in Europe is now the Fiesta, which is slightly larger than the original Focus!?

@@aadi8568 The 2021 Fiesta is both wider and taller than the MK1 Focus. I've seen them parked next to one another. Christ, my 2019 Focus Active X Estate is the same length as a 2016 BMW 5 Series.
I'm sorry, you mean't to say Fusion or did Ford do a Mercury Europe re incarnation.
This car has been called the Mondeo for ages in Europe. The Mondeo and fusion became the same car in 2013, but before 2013 fusion and mondeo were different cars. Also ford couldn't call the Mondeo a fusion in Europe as
1. Mondeo is already a well known name
2. Ford Europe already sold a car called the ford Fusion, but that was a completely different car (it was a small crossover Hatchback thingy)

What is frustrating from ford is that they advertise all these features but when it comes to other countries like south Africa, those features are not available. Imagine I drive range toping fusion petrol engine and recently discovered that it doesn't have tyre pressure sensors Really??? I now regret why buying it
The first two voices sounded a bit like Toto Wolff and Christian Horner.
But then I realised, they never agree on anything.
Nice car but I hate the tiny wheels on the lesser models , It is very Heavy but very roomy and comfortable , But it is let down by fords range of crappy engines 1.0 forget it , 1.5 still not enough to haul this big lump at a brisk pace.
The 2.0 turbo petrol is only crappy power shift .
The diesels are slow God knows where the torque goes it must get lost in transmission there so slow . Which is a shame it would be nice to see the return of a modern ST220 equivalent . With a manual gearbox .
Fusion I have 14 Titanium AWD
A Solid,well put together sport luxury with power .Wanted a Chrysler 200 C AWD but it was lame and cheaply built .Looks good though

Hell the Europeans don't want anything to do with American ingenuity. They really are smarter than they give themselves credit for. Ford has chosen sides, and it looks like Europe won the first dance. I hope FMC does a greater marketing job in Europe because they are sinking fast in the American markets. The FMC offer the dullest colors in the world on their cars. Sad to see. Once a leader... now a follower of European design and manufacturing.

I have the wagon, or Estate version. Now two years old and travelled 19,000 kilometers. Would I buy this car again? NO.
Ford really dropped the ball on this one. Especially the 6 speed hydraulic auto transmission. Worse than the powershift In my opinion.
Ford automatics aren't amazing but their manual models are quite reliable

We want a Ford Evos now the Mondeo is to die.Not yet another bland box on wheels SUV with no soul...
Ford really need to step up the game, the mondeo drives with no excitement at all, power delivery is boring, it looks and drives like an old mans car. Ford made such a good decision with the new fiesta but the mondeo has been let down, yeah ok the mondeo has some safety features but nothing other cars have not already got, from an advanced driver and mechanics point of view the mondeo is just plain boring. Bring back the days when ford made real cars for real people and not just an average car package that any average engineering student can design. You have the resources to be make something great, so do it.
