true but it cause tension back we from in the Vi,Jamaicans was claiming as a big new reggae artist from kingston when he never was from there but we Virgin islanders embrace reggae and dancehall but or main music is calpyso
Virgin island people speak strictly broken English, no patwa nor creole.. however there is lots of people speaking creole and patwa that live in the virgin islands comfortably
just different tones but we speak and say thing the same and different like run down is Oil down but the tone we use is the same African Tonal language the tone of the accent is almost the same
The tone is the almost the same as is other Caribbean islands, but the words/vocal is different. I can put some Jamaicans on the phone with you who I know you couldn't understand
@@johnnymapalo966 lol you do know that patois is a French word right and was used in reference to variants of the French language. Linguists have adapted the word to refer to variants of all languages. There are lots of patois around the world. Maybe you mean that patwa is only spoken in Jamaica.
This man does not sound like a jamaican artist he started studying the culture at age 19 he does not have a jamaican accent point blank period and of course his influence is from our music even though he is from US Virgin islands people who says all island people sound alike just need stop because that is totally false
