For the people wanting more of rock side or electronic side should not complain and instead listen to something else, there are plenty of choices. This is what makes The Anix so special in my opinion. Its not the first time someone does it but the way Brandon does it is so good and unique in my opinion and I like both sides of it. It has been a really long time since I found a new favorite band and The Anix is definitely in my top 5 without doubt. Keep up the amazing work !
Don't give up on creating music, even if it doesn't reach mainstream. I think you're extremely talented and I've been literally obsessed with your music. Ephemeral was a godlike album and I go back to it all the time. And your recent cover of Digital Bath? I'm a big fan of Deftones, yet i tend to listen to YOUR version of the song more because it's so good. Keep up the good work Brandon!
Dude, it's been 1 year since I first heard you, I've been following ya ever since, on one of the song lyrics sites in my country I've been translating all your new songs, spreading the word. Success.
I'm a big fan of electronic rock, have been a long time, but soon after the first few listens to Shadow Movement, it felt like I had found something different & unique to what I'd heard before, and deeply relatable. It helps me reflect and think things through at times too. Also, I prefer the cold damp weather too, but I like having seasons.
I'm a big synthwave/cyberpunk music lover, former death metal fan. Been all over the place with music and I'm taken aback by the struggle Anix has with his fanbase. This music is amazing.
Brandon, thank you for doing this! Your music is the soundtrack in my headset when I'm flying. I would love to see you, Celldweller and Blue Stahli live! Keep up the good work!
I think I discovered your music about 3 months ago, at the same time I discovered IWNBTS. So you reach out to 'new people', but I guess it's really hard for artists anyway. There was so much good electronic music around in the early 2000s and most of it has never really been heard and by now is completely forgotten. One that 'made it' was actually Celldweller and it's great that he founded Fixt so electronic-rock has a bigger platform. I will keep following and on a sidenote: I'd love to be that forgetful about my own age.
Love this interview, very thoughtful and honest answers. Ever since I discovered your project a few weeks ago I've been totally obsessed with it. Your vision of the music you make, the visuals and everything around it as well as your views on it all expressed in this video resonate very strongly with me. You're reaching out to new people like me and the very thing you said here about not being big and reaching to everybody and instead being focused on the exact niche content you want to create and only being understood by a smaller bunch of fans is exactly what makes you so good, you know the people who follow you feel your unique vision and connect with it. So never stop going forward with your own vision and beliefs, you're a huge inspiration to many dedicated people, I wish I could be like you.
Your music kicks ass. I discovered you 2 years ago (better late than never I guess) and I have your music in my regular rotation. You know your craft well. Also I'm only one year older than you. Fellow 80s kid.
Big fan of HEALTH also!! They're my brothers!! Would be great to see The Anix & HEALTH on a US tour & collaborate on a couple of tracks / remixes. I know they're working on Disco 4 currently. Thanks again for the chat ... stoked to be apart of your fanbase!! Love your vision & art!! 🎹💥
I absolutely love your music style! Came across your song “still standing” last week and have been downloading all your albums since. So unique and very attracted to it. Btw I’m the same way with wanting to wear jackets than tshirts and never worn shorts 😏
I rarely leave the comfort of my fave music genre - metal - but stumbled upon The Anix via Celldweller & Pure Obsessions & Red Nights. From the first remix I heard to my devouring of all the original tracks, I am HOOKED! 🖤🤘🏻There’s nothing out there like The Anix & I truly adore every track. Where have you been all my life? 😂😬 I’m looking forward to many more amazing songs & while I am a new fan, I am one for life. 💟
I love your music and have always been into different types of music mostly because if all we do is listen to the same band play the same thing over and over and all bands are just doing the same thing it's nice to have something original and different to listen to that actually sounds well put together and well thought out I love how the rhythmic interlude of Rock mixed with techno because what I originally started listening to was techno back in the day and then moved to rock because I just fell in love with it and have never left it so yeah you guys are freaking awesome and rock like nobody else! Keep up the good work and hope to see you guys at rockfest in cadott Wisconsin at some point 😁
Hi Brandon! I have a few questions: 1. At what time of day do you most often create your works and at what time of day do inspiration come more often - day or night? 2. How long does it take to create a track? 3. Do you take breaks when creating a track in order to understand it and take a break from the sound?
I think you get the balance right with shadow_movement. I'll always love Sleepwalker album (in particular) but you got the balance perfect with the last one. Love the big melodic choruses and the dark ethereal vibes that lifts the melancholy in the verses. Our old band (Faithful Dawn) tried something similar in the 90s and we called the genre 'Darkbeat' - a kind of pop/goth/electronic mix that captured the underground scene of that moment. I think your vibe always sits on the edge of commercial, but just short of the radio play needed to give it that major push. It could be the only thing stopping your success is a decent plugger/promoter.
i was more into rap in the 90's than grunge rock music , mainly 2pac who would of made muscians like JayZ non existent if he was alive today..fusing rap with electronic music..you guys were listening to Nirvana while i was listening to Ace of Base and NAS..bands like Metalica were non existent to my ears, the Backstreet Boys were better to me..Depeche Mode,Pet Shop Boys, and Ultravox were ahead of everyone in 90's.
The futuristic feeling i got from interchanger is unbeatable.

Came for the interview, stayed for the shoe collection

I think your music is overall my favorite electronic rock project ever!
Always been an equal fan of rock and electronic so The Anix has quickly become my top artist.
Аааа.. завизжала от умиления, когда он ответил "да" на русском✨😍❤️ хах, вот бы он ещё улыбался почаще, у него такая милая улыбка 😊
You are the change ! Keep up the good work ! You are pushing the music to another level
I used to just be into rock/punk but thanks to The Anix I’m now into electronic music too 🖤
Brandon, thank you for doing this! Your music is the soundtrack in my headset when I'm flying. I would love to see you, Celldweller and Blue Stahli live! Keep up the good work!
Well, I fall under the "absolutely love it" people! This is definitely my music vibe! 🎶 💜
Keep at it! Trends come and go, but your sound is unique and your base keeps building up. I'd love to hear your take on Chauffer. Great song.
I love you, Brandon!!🖤🔥🖤

Cool guy. Great music! 👍
Very insightful well thought answers.
You are definitely in the sweet spot. The best of both worlds in my opinion.

Nice one Brandon, good questions in there, and good honest answers. Looking forward to part II...
Robert Greene said in his book 'The 48 Laws of Power' that 'all attention is positive attention ' and that 'standing out is a good thing'.
when he didn't know his age lol priceless. loved the interview! We're the same age, Brandon! Keep doing what you're doing!
U doing great man I love your stuff
I’m 37 and I hear ya on the math haha sometimes you have to think about it
Just keep going, it’s part of the creative process. Your style could easily be applied to a Movie score!
Thank you so much for the awesome amazing music 🎶 you have given all of us keep up with the great fucking music 🎶 you're always faithful fan
Love ya man, I used to talk to you on AIM! Back when you did alot of awesome demos, and "if humans had no voice".

Hope to see more of those fan interviews, but with all of FiXT and FiXT Neon artists :) (ask_klayton... Hope this would be revived...)
how cool :D
