Two updates:
1. I filmed this before receiving the Melt x Bailey collection, so that’s why it’s not included.
2. Turns out a friend of mine had a similar issue with the Gemini II palette and emailed Melt. Here is their reply:
“No need to worry! This isn't mold. The formula has a wax with a very low melt point used as a binder to hold the powder due to its high pigment load, when the formula is exposed to temp. fluctuation the wax rises/sweats causing the wax to rise to the top."
They offered to send her a replacement immediately.
Melt is truly an amazing company. ❤
Watch the new palette for moldy-whatever.. my replacement palette did the same thing as the first.. and I’m not sure I believe their explanation of what the gunk is
Great in their part to send a replacement, but that is 100% mold, and that kind of gaslighty reply really bothers me on melt's part!

Linda, please contact Melt for a replacement Gemini II. Even though you’re only seeing the mold (or whatever it is) in one pan it could well have contaminated the other shades. Thanks for the big fat juicy declutter video 🙏 Love you and appreciate the content so much 🩷🖤❤️💜
This is what I came to say!!! Please get rid of it, it’s not worth the potential risks to your eyes!!!
It may only be visible on one but mold grows and spreads and releases spores and the other shades have already been exposed to it, don’t let that remain in your collection!!
Just came here to say, I had 2 Gemini II palettes and both got that moldy stuff on the shimmer shades almost immediately
Yes! Exactly, mold starts at a microscopic level, 99.9% sure the other pans are contaminated as well. It's not worth your health! Once mold gets into your lungs or bloodstream it causes lifelong problems! 😢

This same thing happened to my Gemini 2. I contacted Melt and they kindly replaced it….. and it happened again! That time they kindly offered to let me choose another palette instead and sent me the Electrip. I have many palettes from Melt thins hasn’t happed to (yet). I have to say I’m happy with their customer service but this is just a huge no no. I will think long and hard before buying from them again. This + their formula is just so far behind other brands it makes me wonder how long they will last but I’m rooting for them. I hope they can keep up!
Club Nebula is the one that got away for me. That color story is so unique but i can see so many looks. I need to shop my stash for similar shades. But i wish i had grabbed her, but i had so much going on at the time, i had to pass it up.
A lot of people had issues with the Matheo shade having "mold". I would hope that someone would send it off for verification like with the Jaclyn Hill lipstick mishap happened...
We literally wear and luv the same colors tones everything you are my fave make up channel to watch now cause i can wear the same looks and im always searching for people with the same color and tone skin and colors i like and you fit the bill plus i like you too you are the best Linda!❤😊im working on watching and liking ALL of your videos!

I would ❤to see a skincare declutter! I just decluttered mine and boy was it a challenge 😅 This was painful to watch, but only because I'm on a no-buy. I saw a few of these that I slept on and now...🤷♀️
I gasped when I saw you had the Muerte back. I was so happy to see you got it!
And you might be tired (which I don’t doubt) but you still look 100% fabulous!
I was excited and happy to see her get the Muerte palette. I sold my Muerte and Vida to get some birthday gifts for my son off Mercari. I do kinda miss them because they looked so cool. But, honestly I never used them.
Club Nebula is the reason I started to like red! And not only in shadows, but clothes and accessories😉

Melt’s Eyeshadows in all palettes are magnetic so if you want to take out the shade that is defected you can use a magnetic (fridge magnet or magnetic pen works) to remove it.
Also Unearthly Shadows are magnetic too so if you wanted to keep the grungey colors from Fall Magic you could swap out colors and create your own palette from Fall Magic, Sorceress Smoke and Don’t be Jelly
That KVD Divine palette....i LUST for that thing! Please never get rid of it! 😍😆🦩

Melt twenty seven is my favorite melt palette. It's boring neutrals but the undertones are gorgeous! Highly recommend if you ever consider adding it to your collection!

I saw that Theresa is Dead had some issues with stuff growing on some of her Melt palettes. I’ve never had an issue with it myself but I’m a bit sceptical of the idea that it’s wax - definitely looks like some kind of mould/fungal growth. Glad that Melt are sending you a new palette!
Yes the girls from beauty news also had mold growing on some melt palettes a couple of years ago
I would hold on to neon colored palettes, I have heard it has gotten really expensive to source those now. YES, CP Wild Child is so underrated! I own all 3 of Angie’s Oden Eye palettes and they make my heart pitter patter too, you aren’t alone. Thank you for sharing your collection with us. ❤
I only have melt palettes but I recently got rid of smoke sessions, millennial pinx, and blueprint And I am SO MUCH HAPPIER! I kept trying to make myself use them and like them and they just stressed me out. Now that they are gone I feel so much better.
I don’t usually love grungy on me, but I always love your excitement for all colors grungy. And finally I have experimented with the Gemini palette and I may be convinced! 😊
I LOVE that you keep the outer packaging! I'm a graphic designer and it is such a treat seeing the outer packaging and how they are designed to pair with the palettes!
Melt Gemini is my all time favorite too. You have a beautiful collection and not too overwhelming.

I've had the same issue with that shade in the Gemini II palette. I reached out to their customer service and they sent me a new palette
I had the same problem with the Gemini II. Melt said it isn't Mold. They said it's like a chemical reaction of sorts. :) I did send them a picture and they replaced it with no problem.
Same thing happened to me. They told me it was wax and replaced the palette. It happened to my replacement too so I just got rid of it. 🫤
@striking-sarahphim I just got rid of the green shade. I think its something about the pigment and the binder because any other shade doesn't have this problem 🤔 but it's very strange indeed because no other melt palette that i have had such a problem. Hope that my exchanged palette doesn't have that problem but if you say that your replacement had the same problem, oh no 😞

You can remove the melt pans. They are all magnetic. I’m doing that right now into z palettes.
That mold situation happened to one of my Gemini palettes. Forgot which shade but it's one of the shimmers.
Omg, I had to run upstairs and check my Gemini II palette for mould 😂 It’s fine!!
I just finally had the time to sit down and watch this, and it was so much fun! I also keep everything in their original boxes and find it so hard to part with anything that hasn't expired. My original Melt Gemini is still perfect quality, which says a lot for the brand :) Their Waiting Room palette is my pride and joy. I framed the 'saw girl' plastic cover! And their CS is top notch. After a terrible CS experience with Klarity (which was 100% Klarity's fault), I never bought from them again. Good CS is a part of why why become loyal to a brand. Happy New Year!!!
I myself just declutterred a whole bunch of palettes to my 17 year-old niece. Such a great feeling 💜
5:39 that also happened to my Gemini 2 palette. Luckily the Melt team was really great and replaced it for me. I haven’t had that issue with any other Melt palettes. I also love the Mary Jane, it’s one of my favorites, when I was a brown dark and grungy look it’s my go to.
I will forever hold onto my Club Nebula Kaleidos palette cause it was Angelica’s first collab, and it’s not my favorite but I love the darker colors.

I have that Melt palette and the same shade has mould. I bought a new one in the cyber sale but probably should have contacted their customer care to get a new one for free. I’ve not had that happen to any other Melt palette xx

OMG, you have reminded me of all the palettes I LOVE so much, Heather Austin X Adept and Angie and OE Hela, and my Unearthly Cosmetics are my Favorites of all time! And Nomad Ghost Town USA, so many wonderful palettes and only 2 eyes...😢 I wish I could do costume changes throughput the day just to change my eye looks more. 😊 Love your collection!

absolutely love Melt, and the twenty four is one of my favorites no issues blendable pigmented creamy sooooo beautiful, maybe they change the formula😮❤

Melt needs to fix their metallic formula. It’s not that difficult- I haven’t heard of any other brands having this “wax” issue. Ultimately it’s not a stable formula if we believe them, and unsafe for use around the eye if it grows mould
Actually Patrick Ta palettes have a wax bloom Issue as well.
I still use my old naked palettes! I’ve been using 2 & 3 quite a bit recently. I might need to pull out the first one and use it again, too
I've had no issues with my Melt pallettes. I am going to take the shimmers out and put them in a separate case, just to be prepared if anything like that should happen. I love them, and really hope they turn it around with the shimmers 😢 Btw, I love long declutters 😊
I've had the same issue with the very same palette, with the exact same shade. Melt would have sent me a replacement but I decided I didn't want it because I live in Europe and so I should have had to pay for the customs also for the replacement which I thought wasn't worth it for just one shade. I do have some regrets, though, as I love the palette and that specific shade but haven't really felt the desire to pull it out after what a saw. I kinda fear that the one shade might have ruined the other shades as well. 🤔 By the way, to me the reaction happened relatively fast, I hadn't used the palette for a month or so, maby even less, when I saw that there was that white thing, whatever it is. Also, I had only opened the palette about 3 months earlier for the first time.
I was so tempted to buy the Melt Gemini palette set with the recent sale, but then I did some research and the mold-like substance in that one color seems to be a common problem.
Don't the boxes drive you crazy? 😅 I keep all my boxes, but I took them all off and put them in a box in my storage. So I still have them, but I don't have to take them off all the time. 😂 Except Lethal Cosmetics, cuz the names are only on the sleeves. Not that I care, I actually enjoyed the bit of ASMR for boxing and unboxing. 😅 I just couldn't deal with them and found myself reaching for the ones I didn't have to mess with. 😂 Great video. I got the Angy x Kaleidos palette because I love her but I feel so stucked because I don't know how to match the colours and to create a look, I feel like I'm struggling but it is a beautiful palette and has a spectatular formula
They can pry any of my Nomad out of my cold dead hands! I still need to pick up Royal Europe. Probably on their next release...

Definitely reach out to melt. I did because my gemini 2 had the same issue with the same shade. They said they tested for mold when the issue came up and it is a separation in some of the materials. But they offered to send me a palette in its place, they are sold out of that one but sent me a gift card for the price of it. ❤❤❤
That same color molded on my Gemini II and I'd only had it for 8 months.
I dont have any Melt palettes, but ive seen a few videos where a shade here or there are moldy. It's not you or your environment.

I have the Naked Mini Foxy and I was equally shocked at how much I like it. The gold shimmer actually has like a green flip and I get way more use of it than I thought. Always happy to see you review UD on your channel!

Oh my gosh, my melt Gemini 2 palette, Matheo, is also moldy looking!!! I did see your pinned comment, but it doesn’t look like bubbles up wax or oil on mine 😬. I don’t know what to think about that….
Same thing happened with my melt palettes. I threw them all away and won’t purchase from them again. I’m not taking any chances with my eyes. This has only happened with my melt palettes.
On your recommendation, I bought the Gemini palettes (bundle deal for $30!) on Cyber Monday and I’m loving them!
Thanks to you I checked my Gemini II (which I love but never use) and I had the exact same thing on mine! I’ll be emailing them but I may be trying to find a dupe for it.

Thank you! I only have the one Adept Palette which was the collab with Heather Austin, and it only came in one version. You might be thinking of Amunet which came in light and dark. 🖤🖤

I hit pan in every shade of the club nebula palette
I opened my Gemini 2 a week ago and that exact same color was covered in mold. I pulled it out as well. Since the pans are magnetic it was pretty easy. So gross though.

Do you ever regret declutering a palette? I did. I declutter some pallets a few months ago and there is two i still think of 😢.

Mold! I’ve never seen that. Unfortunately if one shade is molded, it’s likely all are contaminated. I would throw it out and reorder if you love it.

Apparently it’s not mold. I had the same thing happen to the same shade. Wax bloom? I wiped mine and sprayed with alcohol. Melt offered to send a new one but I declined.

No throw that pallet out mold spores spread far and wide even if you don’t see it. They are there. I’m sorry but send a picture or this video to melt cosmetics and they should send you a replacement if it’s within the expiration date. Even so they should send you a new one.
Mold has spores so it's in the entire pallet unfortunately even if you don't see.
Turns out it was not mold, but wax rising to the surface, so I’m hoping it’s safe.
