I’m so glad you addressed the book shaming! I saw that comment on your goodreads and couldn’t believe someone was that pressed over an opinion. I don’t know why it’s such a trend to hate on people based on their reading taste and the content someone else chooses to read. Just because it’s not your thing does not mean it’s bad or other people shouldn’t enjoy!

The problem most people have with coho is not necessarily her writing but the way she portrays serious issues & abusive relationships in her books (and then promotes them as romances) as well as pushing her conservative and honestly quite sexist views through her writing and lack of diverse characters. This isn't a hate comment i just feel like the CoHo stans refuse to accept any criticism on their favourite author and the people who don't like her are (mostly) just trying to educate people on why Colleens books are so problematic. But yeah that comment on GR was very rudely put

Lol you must be new to the book community. There’s ALOT of shaming. But once you’re vetted, you get to the point where you literally don’t care and read and do what makes you happy. So do that don’t venture too deep bc it gets ridiculous

I don’t like coho’s books personally, but like people who love coho, it’s just a personal taste of entertainment. Some ppl need to STOP feeling superior or inferior when it comes to personal tastes.
each of us have different taste in books don't ever feel bad if you want to dnf a book if you're not enjoying it, you may like a book others no and vice versa and that's more than okay

I recently read “The stationary shop” by Majan Kamala. WOW WOW WOW amazing(!!!) love story, similar concept to the notebook, timeline hoping, what could have been, UGH it’s so good! Made me cry which has never happened from a romance for me!
I’m reading Daisy Haites right now and its interesting to me that it has a higher star rating than Magnolia Parks bc I think Daisy is more annoying than Magnolia lol
