- President Biden struggled through a raspy voice and uneven delivery Thursday to unleash a charged and deeply personal attack on his longtime rival, former president Donald Trump, who responded in kind with a blizzard of personal jibes and falsehoods at the first presidential debate of the cycle.
Biden noticeably stumbled at times as he delivered his retorts with a thin voice, mumbled words and occasional look of confusion - a performance that drew immediate worries among Democrats concerned about his age and perceived fragility among many voters.
Trump, who attempted to deliver a less voluble and defiant performance than past debates, based many of his answers around falsehoods that went unchallenged by the debate moderators.
In the sharpest exchanges of the night, Biden accused Trump of having “the morals of an alley cat” for allegedly having “sex with a porn star,” a reference to allegations Trump still denies that were a part of his recent criminal trial in New York.

To be fair, it's not the court's job to create laws. Congress needs to enact a federal law allowing abortions, and then it would be safe. Roe v Wade was, at the time, a radical interpretation of the Constitution, which is why it should have then been enshrined in an actual law.

@@persuisixh4804 im a democrat and i had a different experience watching the debate with all of my fellow democrat friends. we all pretty much feel lied to by social media/news about joe. we thought the fox news headlines about him having dementia was fake news but he seems like he already died. and he insulted trump way more than trump ever personally insulted biden. he is not the civil adult in the room we were told he was. we're all switching over to trump.

@@etnurb2536Roe V Wade wasn't the only important subject, but they were still mostly doing petty squabbling in lieu of discussion. Neither improved peoples' faith in them outside of loyalist fans who wouldn't be swayed by anything. It was mostly bickering, which does not bode well regardless of which direction the election goes.

@@cnnr441 honestly, i thought trump gave quite a few straight answers. it definitely took him a second to get there, but at the end of most of his answers there was a yes or no. and if there wasn’t, he was asked again and then he gave a clear answer. biden also gave clear answers, but you could tell it was difficult for him
