Why Saraswati Cursed Brahma?
According to the Padma Purana, once a few petals from the lotus of Brahma fell on earth. The places where these petals fell turned in beautiful lakes. When Brahma came down to earth to see the lakes, he named the region Pushkar. This resulted in three lakes being named - Pushkar, Madhya Pushkar and Kanishta Pushkar.
Brahma then decided to perform a sacrificial ceremony also known as yagya to ensure purity and goodness of the region. A yagna is a ritual that a man cannot perform without his wife. So Brahma sent Narada to inform Saraswati to come to the yagya at the earliest.
Saraswati could not reach the venue at the time designated as she was waiting for Lakshmi, Parvati and Indrani to join her. Brahma was becoming impatient and could not wait for his wife much longer. In his haste he married Gayatri and completed the yagya with his new wife besides him. Gayatri with a pot of amrit (elixir of life) in one hand and ahuti for the fire in the other helped Brahma complete his yagya.
When Saraswathi finally arrived, she saw Gayathri sitting next to Brahma which was her rightful place. This made her furious and, in her anger, she cursed Brahma that he would never be worshipped by anyone. But upon the advice of Shiva and Vishnu, she reduced her cursed, allowing Brahma to be worshipped only in Pushkar.

This curse is still true, I know a man in Kanpur, who tried to build a temple of Brahma, that part of temple collapsed where the idol of Brahma was kept and the person who built it was crushed under it.

RadhaKrishan, and Devon Ke Dev twist the story so much that it starts confusing people. Where was it ever written that at 1 point, Radha and Krishna were supposed to get married. Devi Gayitri and Devi Saraswati are same. Devi Gayitri is form of Godesses Saraswati. This story is a lie. The reason that Bramha Dev is not Worshiped because he is a Bramha (Creator of Universe) and he is a mortal. He isn't immortal and there are lot of Bramha (Creators of Universes). He isn't the supreme and thus he is not worshiped a lot just like Indra and other gods. Krishna, Ganesha, Shiva, Parvati are all ansha (one form of sumpreme) who represent one of the gunas / swarupa of the sumpreme.

Most of the people would direct their anger to their "replacement", but Saraswati is wise enough to know that the real blame should go to her husband. Even today, people blame the homewrecker rather than their spouses who broke their vows and actually cheated on them. Saraswati shows us wisdom and foresight.
Also, a lot of people are thinking whether the curse was of Shiva's or of Saraswati's. My take is that because both Shiva and Saraswati present the same energies (both have moons on their head; represent white, the colour of purity and knowledge; and even considered siblings in some texts), they both could have cursed Brahma for the same thing - lie and betrayal. But for Lord Shiva, the story was different and so was for Saraswati Maa.

The second prominent temple is in Asotra, Rajasthan Barmer district.
As per my knowledge lord shiv has cursed Lord Brahma hence his son Daksh also hated lord shiv for cursing him due to which his was/is not being worshipped. For one, Pushkar is not the only place where Brahma temple exists. It existed in Afghanistan still exist in South (don't recall the exact place) and there is one temple (Preah Khan Temple) in Combodia. Similarly there should be another in Kashmir or so, but it's probably broken and lost.

You should read Shiv Puran and Bramha Puran to know the actual story why Bramha's head was cutoff by Shiva and why he was cúrsed by Shiva once upon a time.

Yes another version in shiv purana says when Brahma and Vishnu had an argument , the decided to go shiv ji to find who is greatest. Shiv ji asked them to go to opposite ends of shiva lingam and reach end. The one to do it would be the greatest. Both of them could not but Brahma lied and insulted both shiv and Vishnu. so his head that spoke bad was cut off ...
And he was cursed. There are many versions but the moral of the story is what is important...

This is just a single story but there are many stories like shiva cursed Brahma for lying , rishi bhrigu cursed Brahma
But I think the main reason is that Brahma is the creator and but neither he can protect it nor destroy it only Vishnu and shiva have the power to protect and to destroy .
So the people started worshipping Shiva and Vishnu more than Brahma

Just as our atma is formless when it takes form we become living beings. It is difficult to explain formless energy to humans ( devas and Devis) so it is depicted in human form to be easily explained but some ppl add twist to it story just to mislead and blindfold ppl. Since something get repeated when world is destroyed and restart again. This reason is given by Tulsidas. Agni is the medium to carry food for all the devs, including the three main ones. Yagya is not just a ritual, it is symbol of purity and offering to the creator,Vishu and shiva.. hence any yagya can be performed by the supreme of the supreme.

As per the original story Lord Brahma was not cursed by Goddess Saraswathi but was cursed by Sage Brihu.
It is hard to trace the 'orignal story' since mythology is hard to keep track of as it is passed on by word of mouth and several texts.
There are multiple versions - the story in this video, the one where lord shiva cuts off Brahma's 5th head and one where Brahma lies about the Ketaki flower.

There are many such mythological stories. These were written by other lesser writers. These are required to be ignored or taken very lightly.
There are some other temples dedicated to Brahma in India. I feel the main reason for the decline in the popularity of Brahma is similar to that of all Vedic Gods. Vedic Hinduism did not have any temples or idols. The main ritual in Vedic times was Yagna, where the Gods were worshipped in the abstract form of Agni. Vedic deities like Indra, Surya, Varuna, Prajapati, Adityas and all were invoked in the sacrificial fire and offered the aahuti. That is why there were no significant temples dedicated to Vedic deities like Brahma or even Saraswati.
Afterward, with the advent of Buddhism idol worship and temples were popularized in the Puranic periods of Hinduism. Buddhism does not advocate for any creationist ideas and therefore the importance of visualizing God as the creator started to decline. Hence, Brahma was pushed to become the secondary creator of the Universe and other deities like Vishnu and Shiva became more popular.
