The ZBV lifting motor on Gen 1 Demag DMR wire rope hoists have a unique octagon shaped fan cover. Demag Technical Trainer, Andy Rasch, takes you through the brake adjustment and brake change procedures. The brake adjustment procedure on the ZBV lifting motor requires you to confirm the current air gap and remaining thickness of the brake material. Then you will adjust it to the requirement found in Demag materials.
