I do believe Qimir has a connection to the witches but I don’t think they’re his master. I think it’s truly Darth Tenebrous who studied the witches much like how Palpatine studied the Nightsisters but never actually tried to team up with them because of how dangerous they were to the Sith in general. It would make sense for Darth Tenebrous to adopt the abilities of the witches and teach them to Qimir. In Legends, Darth Tenebrous was essentially the founder of how to manipulate the midi-chlorians and then he taught the ability to Darth Plagueis. It's possible since the witches knew how to create Mae and Osha through the midi-chlorians they unknowingly caught the attention of Darth Tenebrous and then he studied many of their abilities such as the “getting into people’s head” thing which is what Qimir used on Mae in episode 5. Abeloth is another good theory especially since she’s confirmed to appear in Ahsoka season 2 however I don’t think she’s fully influencing the Sith. More like the Sith idolize her which is why Qimir’s mask resembles her.

    • @AbitofEverything4U

Omg I didn't even thought that it could be tied to Abeloth! It would be cool, but idk if it fits the story nor the filoni project(as this isn't part of that).
My theory tho is this: he probably was an apprentice of Tenebrous, who might have helped the witches to create the twins. Then or they both stayed on Brendock to keep an eye o n the coven or Tenebrous abbandoned Qimir there, leaving him for dead(probably he wanted another apprentice).
The fact is, I think that Qimir isn't an actual sith anymore: he willy-nilly will leave the order and found a new dark side order: the knights of Ren! These appear briefly in TRoS but they have a larger role in the comics. Another hint to this is that at the end of the episode we hear a bit of the Kylo Ren theme while Qimir was leaving Mae

Not sure if you've ever seen the Evil Dead franchise, but I would LOVE a timeline video for it, including creator interviews and statements, in movie/show details that help place the projects in certain years or months, and then some of what happens in some of the projects that makes things... Confusing. Specifically the end of season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead into season 3. So basically just one of your timeline videos, because that's what you normally do.
And I would love to hear your thoughts on some of the contradictory things about the franchise, and not just some of the odd continuity errors between or within films, but the more impactful stuff (like the ending of season 2, or certain creator statements completely contradicting one another).

The tie in with Abeloth is incredible, I didn't thought about it, but it makes a lot of sense, it blew my theory out of the water but I loved it 😂 I don't think Qimir is a Sith, I think he said that to Sol because he sees the Jedi as prejudice people that sees everyone that don't agree with them as bad people, AKA Sith. It will make a lot of sense if he is working for the dark side itself, and Abeloth in the way is the manifestation of the dark side itself, also, in her story, she felt left out by the father, the daughter and the son, and went after power herself, behind their back, it can mirror the witches going behind the Jedi back for their own power, and even Bailon leaving the Jedi path for his own path, it makes a lot of sense, one of my gripes with this show was that it didn't really build up the future, but, if they are introducing Abeloth, it can led the next chapter of the Star Wars universe, after the sequels.

What if Qimar was a child in the witches coming. Maybe originally he was supposed to be their chosen one but then Mother Anissey was able to use the force to impregnate Koril. So he was there the night of the fire and saw what happened and that's how he got the most possible scars, but he also has some resentment toward the twins but also sees them as his sister / his people.
    Or
Maybe Qimar was just a young kid just a little older than the girls and was also a part of the coven. Or even possibly Koril son. And he saw what happened and survived, therefore he was there for everything. So he has hatred for the Jedis, and sees on one hand it was the girls' fault but also they are still his people.
We know that the coven was ran by women, that does not mean that every woman in the group never knew a man's touch or they didn't play a lower role in the coven.
    Or
What if Qimar was Master souls former of Padawan or even just a youngling under his training and looked up to him. This could explain why he knows so much about the Jedi, but if he knew Master soul maybe he saw the difference in master soul's attitude after returning from the mission on that planet with the witches. And he put two and two together. When Master soul came back with OSHA he no longer paid attention to a young Qimar. And so maybe that's what causes Qimar to leave the Jedi order or even be kicked out because he started to have resentment towards OSHA and the Jedi started to sense that darkness.
I don't know, just enjoying the theories.

I think the Sith slaughtered the coven and blamed the Jedi, and possibly the twin that set the fire was under one of the siths control which would explain why she acts like she don’t remember when her sister confronts her. Possibly plaguies learned to create life through the force from the coven and look Sidious restored his life force from absorbing Rey and Ben’s diad power. Maybe Plaguies wanted that from the twins and the coven made a deal of some sort with the sith and broke it when mother Anesaya let the Jedi take one of them.

No, the Star Wars website is a source of reference for canon. The folks that run the site are very much considered credible sources, and are directly employed by Lucasfilm. If it's part of the Databank, it's Canon. If it's something in the trivia sections of an Episode Guide, it's Canon. Now, as merely reference material, there's always a chance for something to be overwritten, reference books have that happen all the time, but if Cortosis does have the ability to inhibit abilities in the Force, then the Star Wars website stating it does makes it Canon. Personally, I don't like that Cortosis can also inhibit Force abilities, but considering a Lightsaber is more than just a technological item, it uses a crystal infused with the Force to power it and emit a blade, then I suppose it's not much of a long shot either.

    • @AbitofEverything4U

@@AbitofEverything4U Marvel and Star Wars may have comparably sized fanbases, but the properties are just too different. Star Wars is also mainly just the one universe for all its mediums with one studio in charge of what happens, where Marvel's website has everything with the Marvel name, so the comics are their own thing, games another, movies and shows, and each of those aren't even all treated the same, so if someone were to write something specifically about the MCU, there may not be a guarantee they're going to be someone associated with Marvel Studios, just that they're working with Marvel. If there's an official Marvel Cinematic Universe website run by people chosen by Marvel Studios that I don't know about, that's where you could really start to make a comparison and see it as a reliable source. And maybe they do have people from Marvel Studios to specifically make articles and pages about the MCU, but there's just been a bad track record.
I've been following Star Wars forever, but only regularly since 2008 with Clone Wars because there were episode guides week to week that gave you insights from production and easter eggs you may have missed. That's back when George still owned Lucasfilm, and while it's now under Disney ownership, and there have been cosmetic changes, the quality and care for the website hasn't diminished. Now the UA-cam channel (which is run by StarWars, com) has completely fallen to pieces, but even then, it's only ever really been a lack of production quality (Going from full on shows sharing the news to just shorts with text) due to budget cuts, the actual content is still reliable. If you go back to 2015 on the Star Wars UA-cam channel, the Star Wars Show used to have great interviews with creatives working on the movies and shows, Rebels Recon was a great quick aftershow talking to writers and directors and animators, but by 2019 and then especially with the pandemic, everything just slowly drifted away, and now This Week in Star Wars is just a 60 second short.
I think this is why everyone was freaking out about Kevin Feige on the new Official Marvel Podcast because he's the guy, he's one of the most trusted sources you could have. You've also had a few sources of interviews with Winderbaum and other writers, but if there was a singular hub for just MCU related material that was official, then I think fans would be more willing to accept whatever is shared there because it would be coming from a much more reliable platform just being more associated with that specific type of Marvel content, and not just the Marvel brand in general. The ship has kind of sailed on that though, that's something they probably should have made right after Avengers, but then it would also probably have outdated material like Agents of SHIELD, maybe even the WHIH stuff, which, as much as we would all like for it to be main timeline canon, it's likely not, but rather than give a hard definitive answer, it's more just a thing they don't want to reference. Because the movies and shows couldn't get on the same page with one another past a certain point, it was clear the shared universe was really just two, if not more, and that hurt a lot of faith they had built up from the fans.
Everything is starting to look like it's going to become a bit more cohesive again, the timeline book might finally cement things in continuity, but I don't know, it could just as easily change again, especially with the recanonization of the Netflix shows. Things are getting better, but if there was an MCU specific hub made in an official capacity that didn't have to compete with everything else Marvel, that might make a difference.
