Using ffmpeg for basic video editing and conversion tasks has saved me a lot of time and effort in comparison to using a gui editor like kdenlive and having to render each time.

great video.. the issue i have is using both audio and video filters in the same command. ffmpeg does not like -af and -vf flags together and wants filter complex, but filter complex uses a different syntex and i don't get what i expect. any suggestions on using filter complex?
