  • Watch again as Baroness Louise Casey spoke to the home affairs select committee following her report on London's Metropolitan Police, which found the force to be "institutionally racist, misogynistic and homophobic" and unable to police itself.
The Met appointed Baroness Casey to lead an independent review of its culture and standards of behaviour in the wake of a series of shocking incidents.
It was commissioned in February 2021, in the wake of the murder of Sarah Everard by serving officer Wayne Couzens.
Published on Tuesday (21 March), the striking report also warned there may be more officers like Couzens - and serial rapist David Carrick - still in the ranks of the Met police.
"There is, without doubt, a discriminatory culture right across the Metropolitan Police," Baroness Casey said on yesterday.
"I think institutional racism, institutional sexism, institutional misogyny and homophobia are definitely present across the organisation, so it needs to clean itself up."

Look at the volunteers at the reception desks in police stations look at the police officers in the community police stations first a problem we found is reporting a crime and finding out later it was not logged in crimminals are firmly within the police forces

Physcological testing must begin now to see who is FIT to be a police officer and who is crimminally minded or a sexual deviant sensory testing too must begin from the top to the volunteers real decent police officers are at risk from crimminals within the work force

Will this kind of investigation also cover other police forces around the Country, as I’m sure the met aren’t the only ones

It runs in the prison systems aswell, just a lack of common decency really and it seems they employ the worst of society along as they have avoided a criminal record

Why do they think someone will. Are a good officer just because they have a degree, when it’s more about the very nature and mindset of the person, not so much their academic achievements. You can have degrees coming out your ass, don’t make you a decent person though
