I may be misinterpreting this completely and taking it to literally, but this song always felt to me like the personification of ones fear is trying to tell them how he isn't meant to and will never make them feel good, but he will always be a part of them and is in a way a necessary part of you.
For a long time I thought it was "I'm not here to feel (a) failure parody" instead of "I'm not here to fulfill your parody" and for some reason I always related to that more, even though it's not the real lyric.
