@@LegendPurpleDragon152 Like razorfist would say "strap in fucker I'm going in dry. Lets list off what she has "accomplished" in the five minutes of screen time. When she enters the room she is bowed to by the other rulers, that didn't even bow to each other, with the light behind her like they were trying to make her look like the second coming or something. She totally disrespects the man that called the meeting, something that is just not done in any environment. She his fully knowledgeable of history, even though she is barely old enough to read. (I give that one a pass due to her possibly having a really good set of instructors.) Has a better understanding of the situation than everyone in the room, that have been studying the situation since before she was born. Seemingly has a better understanding of politics than everyone, again these folks have been doing this for decades. Just by her presents everyone in the room has their IQ's cut in half. Now on to the next time you see princess mary sue. This prepubescent child is somehow able to sneak, not one but, two armies within a few hundred meters of an enemy force numbering around quarter million. Some how she was so perfect that she knew that they had acquired a dragon horn, that she was never told about, and knew exactly where to cross (and when), that she was never told about. The only people that knew about "the breach", the ONLY known path to the other side, being sealed were on the opposing side. Plus she had to sneak both these armies into hostile territory without being spotted. I forgot to mention that she had to instantly convince those that chose not to fight to pick up arms and kill their own friends/allies. If this was not instantaneous then she would have never reached them in time. Let us not forget that she can draw (effortlessly) on a metal longbow. something that even a full grown man would have difficulty doing, and make a perfect shot from approximately 1 kilometer away on a trashing target. Then fire two arrows at the same time and hit the same moving target perfectly between the eyes and through the heart. Apparently she has enough military knowledge, and experience, to bring her archers closer than the main force so that their volley would not fall short. Then she leads the army, cutting a swath through a previously almost unbeatable enemy, like an unstoppable force. Again firing arrows at speeds that even the best archers in the world would have trouble matching. The next time we see her she is standing defiantly without a scratch. If you refuse to admit that she is a mary sue at this point that's fine. Unless you've got some evidence to disprove all of my points listed above then she is just as much a mary sue as weasley crusher, rey from star whores, and mary sue from the trek series. If they want to prove that she is not one then they have to do the same thing they did with the other female characters. Show that she is still a woman, still vulnerable, and still able to make mistake and learn from them. Until then, she is the worst thing to happen to this show. Give me more rayla, callum, ezra, virum, Claudia, give us a deeper look into elf culture, SOMETHING! Anything, as long as they keep this character out of the story.
NJS1346Shes only made an appearance in three episodes so far, so you really can expect her to be a completely fleshed our character at this point in time. However, she lost her parents at a young age, so she has been learning how to be a queen rapidly through her life. She’s had to learn how to run an army and a country and how to fight. She’s also been attached multiple times, according to the wiki, because people view her as a vulnerable target(because she’s a child.) Her maturity could be due to not growing up with many children around her. She has seen the mistakes her parents and other rulers may have made, and likely studied them, so she could become a better ruler with rational decision making. Also, about the archery thing. I’ve seen children about her size at archery competitions shoot 47/50 and above at fifteen meters away from the target. If you’re focused and take the time to practice and learn the sport shooting like her is nothing.(talent helps a bit too, but that’s neither here nor there.) Personally, I think she’s a great character with a lot of potential. She hasn’t had time to be fully fleshed out in the show, so maybe give her mare of chance before you go around saying that you dislike her.
@@realsquidinc7428 I did give her a chance, as far as the show is concerned. I couldn't give the first part of a dam about the 'wiki' because if I have to read additional literature to understand a character/setting/situation or anything else then the show has poor writing and/or directing. That is for any media out there. You also proved my point with your own words. Being a child she would have limited time to train on so many things and become an expert on everything. Those children you mentioned, how about you ask if they can do the same thing with a moving target 1km away. Not once but twice firing multiple arrows. If you don't see my point with that then you are willingly ignorant of it. Now my final point, and why I call her princess mary sue. One of the key points of a mary sue character is that the world adjusts for them. A clear example is when princess mary sue enters the counsel chambers for the meeting everyone there seems to lose 150 IQ points. These are very skilled politicians that have spent their entire lives on this one skill, and she just makes them out to be fools with her presents alone. There has been a lot of people trying to match her up with the Mormont queen from game of thrones. (pre season 8) They are not the same, not even close. Mormont stood out in spite of the fact that she was looked down on at first. she was not given anything, nor did anyone become dumber because she was around. She simply had the balls to say what needed to be said. Princess mary sue just seemed smarted because everyone else because stupid once she was around. As far as I am concerned she is just fan fiction that slimed its way into a really good story.
Can you please not? Frosta made good decisions And it wasn't a terrible first impression Stop insulting one character to complement another,🙄 Really shows how mature you are...
I wish you didnt have to cut out parts of the episodes for copyright reasons, cause I would love to binge these episodes again with your guys full commentary! Also YOU CANT DO THAT TANGLED SCENE WITH RAYLA AND CALLUM , THATS NOT PLAYING FAIR :)
3:58 : This scene of these two guards is what I absolutely love about this series and what reminds me of the quality of Avatar (although Avatar is in my mind still better)! They don't just use the foreground, they put things in the background, use the background characters, do things that are "pointless" for the story, without interrupting it! While they tell the main story, they also show parts of another story, where these two guards got completely drunk the night before and in the heat of the moment argued about who the better fighter was, how they nearly began fighting themselves, until one of them proposed the bet. How one of them will give a snarky comment later, when they again go to the bar, how the other paid him his evening.
This scene reminds me a lot of the boiling rock episode from atla where either sokka or zuko (I can't remember, Shane on me) said "I have a question" and the prison guard said "no, u can't date the female guards". Personality being put into otherwise pointless background characters
Crazy theory: What if Ezran meets Queen Aanya and falls in love with her?! Then Ezran meets back with Callum and asks to have that talk about peanut butter sandwiches. XD
Whether Ezran's first crush and/or love is Aanya, Ellis or some new original character, I certainly would *love* for Callum to give Ezran the "peanut butter" talk, lol. 😆
Wild theory here: What if Viren DID leave the Queen behind, and she wasn't dead. Then, the elves took her captive, and now she's stuck on their side of the border. Later, Callum and Rayla will rescue her, and it'll be a big plot twist of epicness.
With Katolis in desperate need of real leadership I actually really want to see this happen. I honestly think Callum and Ezran are too young to challenge Lord Viagra for leadership.
except there was no elf there, just a really pissed off dragon king that has already killed 2 trespassing humans, so I wouldn't put it beneath the "just" dragon king to kill another. Not to mention why the hell would you keep a member of a race you already banished on the side of the continent you banished them from? And if so, why the hell wouldn't you use her as a bargaining chip during the battle in which the dragon king died? In short, this theory makes as much sense as Callum is part elf (why the hell didn't the glowing cube glow when he aimed to himself? Not to mention it beating the purpose of the scene)
@@Raximus3000 Yeah, I felt rather conflicted about it. It borders on the Bury Your Gays trope too. Since we've seen no lgbt characters actually relevant to the plot.
I stan Queen Anya! She is legit my favorite character in the whole show! I mean, she is stinkin' AWESOME! She was far wiser than every other royal (and evil wizard dude) in that room put together! People don't realize just how strong the mind of a child can truly be.
Yeah, really wish people would pay attention to the fact that the failure of Viren means the people of Katolis get screwed over(baring Ezren to the rescue). After all there are signs that the Elves are going to attack (sun elves at the border so soon after Harrows death).
Viren certainly wasn't wrong to call them cowards. "Yes, if Katolis falls then we will be unable to coordinate the gathering of an army capable of withstanding the elves fast enough to prevent genocide of the human race, but... I'm not going first, that's for sure." Viren is actually trying to do something _useful_ while the child queen, while I definitely disagree with her reasoning and subsequent plan, at least she's making her own decisions instead of relying on others to do it for her. Doesn't help that one of the Queens reminds me of the evil princess from "The rising of the shield hero."
honestly, Viren would normally be pulled in by the guards and set up for execution because you DO NOT YELL AND CALL KINGS AND QUEENS COWARDS, *THAT IS A PERFECT WAY TO BECOME BESTIES WITH THE CHOPPING BLOCK*
Pretty much the only reason he was able to get away with anything in this episode was because he claimed to be the regent. Any action taken against him could've led to war. As it was, this whole stunt led to him basically losing all of his political power.
Well freedom of speech they ain't gonna kill him because of that if they did their own people might get pissed that they killed a guy because he didn't like them
@@BRG1807 I could be wrong but this isn't the american constitution, some places don't have that, insulting a king or queen could get you killed or locked up but as was mentioned, the Regent thing did save his ass
No, you can't execute people who aren't your subjects; especially if they are nobles and/or the regent. That's a good way to start a pointless war against a kingdom you're friendly with for no reason.
I'm obsessed with Hamilton enough as is whyyyyy 😭😭😭 Also I was just thinking that! He's basically trying to tell a fairytale to a child! But HE'S the child b/c he psyched himself up. Keep Up The Good Work~!
Viren was kinda dumb trying to use SKY magic against SKY dragon. Also, this is the Dragon KING, the most powerful being (presumably) in all of Xadia. Why did he think he could help? "His" magic (i use quotes, since he uses dark magic and steals the magical essence of other creatures) is a mere parlor trick compared to the dragon's magic! If he just stayed in his lane, Callum's mother would probably still be alive.
Why did all the monarchs leave their kingdoms and go to the titan? That just screams "kill all of them and cause a succession crisis". That just took me out of the episode.
When Amaya collapses in the queens arms she askes something along the lines of "how does my face look?" the sister responds with "Eh, not great" and then something like "but you should see the other guy" Small warning of a butt joke below!!!!!! There is also another scene that is not included in this video where king Harrow explains the plan to take down the titan. He does this by pointing with two fingers while gesturing in different direction. Amaya looked worried/disturbed before turning to her sister and starts signing "Hahaha, that sign (the one Harrow made unintentionally), now I understand" This is because that sign basically means/looks like you put your fingers up someone's butt and not to shoot with ballistas ;-) This tanslation is not my own and comes form the youtube channel "Let's chat"
There's one thing I'm still curious about. Bloodlines are still important in Human Kingdoms, as was made clear with Callum being singled out as "just the step-prince". And since I doubt artificial means of same sex couples is possible in this Medieval society, It can only mean that one of the Queens, (likely the one that inherited the title) had to "take one for the team" so to speak. My theory is that they approached one of their trusted friends in the Nobility to, "do his patriotic duty" so to speak. With the mutual understanding that the child produced would be raised by them as their official daughter, the full details such as his name kept private, to avoid any succession complications. Assuring him that when Aanya was old enough to understand the matter and ever wish to meet him he could, perhaps even advice her. When they died he felt he was obliged to help raise her, being the closes family she had, only for some opportunists in court to renege on the Queens promises to gain power for themselves, but painting him as a usurper. Leading to the political schemes and divide that lead to Aanya maturing as quick as she has.
They are writing out books/graphic novels so there could be a backstory on her parents and how she grew up that could be interesting. Also was surprised and not surprised that they had not just 1 but 2 same-sex couples kissing and that made my cold heart melt.
4:07 "I disagree, but I stand by you anyway....Therefore, I'm going to needlessly risk my life alongside you, rather than stay behind with our two young children and be the designated survivor to rule the kingdom and raise our sons if you die on this quest." Also bless you both at 8:18 for calling out the queens for their totally unnecessary tragic deaths...being The Gay doesn't grant anybody a pass for horrible decisions....especially when they leave behind an infant daughter (who's either adopted or only has a legitimate claim to the throne through one mom) as the only heir to the throne, in the face of a famine which could've resulted in the collapse of the kingdom if their quest had failed.
I mean... Viren is 100% correct. The elves were sending dragons over the border and preparing to attack the fortress defending the entrance to the humans' lands. After killing the king of the land defending the border. You wanna tell me that they did all that just for fun? Sure, the assassination was for revenge, but attacking the human fortress on human lands is literally the elves invading, just as he said. And I very much doubt that they would stop after a single fortress. You take a fortress like that, because you want to get on the other side and what would they want there, other than to attack Katolis, the human border kingdom? This would be the time for the humans to band together and repel them. Aanya deciding to just let Katolis fight against the elves alone is kind of a selfish, dick move, even if they didn't owe Katolis a debt of 100 000 lives. (Also, Aanya was super off the mark with 'by sending a million to die in violence', we saw how large human armies are in the Dragon Prince universe and they are only a few thousand strong, for each kingdom)
Aanya seems like an awesome character, but it's sad that when I see her being a child but also a competent ruler, it makes me sad when I realize what Frosta could've been. But no, the writers of She Ra do nothing with her. Whenever I write my fanfic redoing the whole series, she's definitely at the top of my list for improvement. And yes, Kyle will get lots more love and good moments.
"Viren! You cause every problem in this entire thing!" Noooo...I have to disagree, that's the big part of the show, that he isn't...But your commentaries are still awesome 😂
Ekami Really? Let’s take a census. SPOILER ALERT! 1. He pushes the king to take the fire titan’s heart. Result: 3 dead queens, one of which being Callum’s mom, and instills hatred in the king. 2. He preys on the King’s desire for revenge and pushes the king to kill Thunder, then steals the dragon prince egg for magic. Result: Dead dragon king, dragon egg missing, now presumed destroyed, Dragon Queen being thrown into depression sleep, Rayla’s parents being thought of as traitors, brewing war between the elves and the humans and the moon shadow assassins coming to kill the king. 3. He steals the mirror. Result: Aaravos likely escaping and wreaking havoc. 4. He sends assassins to kill the other 4 leaders who dare disagree with him. Result: 2 dead, 2 wounded, and the Prince becoming a rage monster who won’t listen to reason and becomes easy prey to sway to Viren’s side. 5. He leads a coup against Ezran. Do I need to say what happens after this? Maybe he’s not the root cause of EVERYTHING in the world. But he’s the cause of quite a bit of it.
@@LegendPurpleDragon152 Are you serious? OK FIRST OF ALL SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3 1. Without fire titan, THOUSANDS of people would have starved, Viren isn't responsible for Thunder killing 3 queens. Viren tried to save the queens and even when he failed in that, he saved thousands of lives. 2. He doesn't push Harrow into anything, he gives him the means to take revenge (which both of them wanted). Rayla's mother made Viren believe dragons egg could be used as a weapon, he hid it so nobody would use it. (Note that at the start of the show, it has been months since Viren got it, yet he isn't doing anything with it.) 3. Aaravos is implied to be like Prometheus, he gave humanity means to fight back against dragons and elfs that were oppressing them. ("You ARE lesser beings.") 4. He didn't send shadow assassins because they "dared to disagree with him", he wanted to show Xadia was a serious threat. (Which it was, as far as they all know, they killed the king and were ready to kill Ez.) But yes, that is a bad thing Viren did. 5. Viren didn't lead a coup against Ez. Ez himself abdicated and Viren took over with people's support, not by force.
Ekami Sorry. Edited a spoiler warning in previous comment. 1. I know WHY he did it. But like the Queen pointed out, there were other options that could be explored that Harrow didn’t chose to. And this event is still one of the major things that sets the other bad events in the future in motion. Namely Harrow’s hate for Thunder and the death of the 3 queens. In the end it was Viren who came up with this plan so he’s responsible for the bad as well as the good. 2. Harrow was willing to let it lie but Viren clearly egged him on, repeatedly. And Viren was very clearly planning on doing something with the egg, the fact that it was taking months to figure out what doesn’t mean that he wasn’t trying to do something with it, nor was he ‘hiding it so no one would use it’. 3. Aaravos is also implied to have been a great criminal in OTHER ways, such as the fate of the Sun Elves’ previous queen. It is very clear he’s imprisioned because he’s a dangerous individual, guilded cage or not. 4. (Yes, this is a bad thing, glad you agree, but I still have to address this). He can dress it up however he likes. At the end of the day, he’s using his magic to murder world leaders cause they didn’t agree with him. “Showing Xadia was a serious threat” didn’t require that. Regardless of Xadia’s intentions by that point, he went for the option that would give HIMSELF the most power. 5. It was a coup. It wasn’t violent, but it was a coup. He and the nobility and reagents of the other kingdoms under Prince Firebutt conspired a plan to force Ezran off his throne and put Viren in his place. It doesn’t have to be violent to be a coup.
@@LegendPurpleDragon152 1.There wasn't another option. It was to let people die, or going after titan. Sarai didn't suggest any alternative solution, just judged the morality of it. And again, Viren isn't responsible for a dragon killing people. 2. Viren literally says to Claudia, "the egg is too dangerous, it can't fall into the wrong hands." 3. We don't know what happened to the previous sun queen, we don't know who she was, what she was planning to do (based on her grandchild being so racist, she gives a human as a pet for her sister, I can imagine she wasn't much different.) But we don't know enough to tell. 4.I'm skipping this because we already talked about this. 5. Again, Ez voluntarily gave up the throne, because he didn't want to go to a war and send Katolis's army to die. (Which is ironic, since at the finale, he kills the same army.) In the end I want to say, calling him prince firebutt cracked me up :'D
@@LegendPurpleDragon152 I want to add that a major character flaw for Viren is that he's pragmatic and loves taking short cuts to achieve his goals. He could let both kingdoms carry the burden of the food shortage or he could just grab this one thing to make their problems go away without any real thought of the consequences.

Personally, I think she’s a great character with a lot of potential.
Huh, Aanya is like the anti-Frosta: a smart young leader that makes GOOD & LOGICAL CHOICES!

While editing the tangled scene, I began to question how I got to this point in my life XD
@@_Meekay_ There's a Rayllum moment
Yeah, side/backround characters are characters too and I love when a show acknowledges that :)
This scene reminds me a lot of the boiling rock episode from atla where either sokka or zuko (I can't remember, Shane on me) said "I have a question" and the prison guard said "no, u can't date the female guards". Personality being put into otherwise pointless background characters
It makes the world and characters feel so much more alive and real.
Ethan: YOU STEAL MY CHOCOLATE!
Michaela: I'll get you more.
Ethan: Ooh yay! Okay.
Holy crap yes what Villads said to Rayla was an Iroh quote I can't believe I didn't catch this you guys blew my mind
'virus-butt' - the originality popped out
Wild theory here:
What if Viren DID leave the Queen behind, and she wasn't dead. Then, the elves took her captive, and now she's stuck on their side of the border. Later, Callum and Rayla will rescue her, and it'll be a big plot twist of epicness.
I HOPE SO
If that happen Callum would flip out an zip anyone that looks at her.
Nope, it would be trouble some. Plus it would make little sense.
“That’s what marriage is about yo”

Love someone standing up to Viren, hate that the other monarchs told Katolis to essentially "screw off"
Yeah, really wish people would pay attention to the fact that the failure of Viren means the people of Katolis get screwed over(baring Ezren to the rescue).
8:41
Actually, according to season three, that's where YOU took her last breath
Now Hamilton and Wizard101 references? Man I love you! XD
honestly, Viren would normally be pulled in by the guards and set up for execution because you DO NOT YELL AND CALL KINGS AND QUEENS COWARDS, *THAT IS A PERFECT WAY TO BECOME BESTIES WITH THE CHOPPING BLOCK*
Pretty much the only reason he was able to get away with anything in this episode was because he claimed to be the regent. Any action taken against him could've led to war. As it was, this whole stunt led to him basically losing all of his political power.
Well freedom of speech they ain't gonna kill him because of that if they did their own people might get pissed that they killed a guy because he didn't like them
@@BRG1807 I could be wrong but this isn't the american constitution, some places don't have that, insulting a king or queen could get you killed or locked up
but as was mentioned, the Regent thing did save his ass
No, you can't execute people who aren't your subjects; especially if they are nobles and/or the regent. That's a good way to start a pointless war against a kingdom you're friendly with for no reason.
I love how you guys go "oooh" every time aanya (did I spell that right?) Speaks

Keep Up The Good Work~!
Viren was kinda dumb trying to use SKY magic against SKY dragon. Also, this is the Dragon KING, the most powerful being (presumably) in all of Xadia. Why did he think he could help? "His" magic (i use quotes, since he uses dark magic and steals the magical essence of other creatures) is a mere parlor trick compared to the dragon's magic! If he just stayed in his lane, Callum's mother would probably still be alive.
"Hello Frosta"
Bruh 😂 😂 😂
Why did all the monarchs leave their kingdoms and go to the titan? That just screams "kill all of them and cause a succession crisis". That just took me out of the episode.
wasn't that the whole point of the small garrison outside? No weapons allowed and only one person from each kingdom? Remember?
@@floricel_112 No the Titan. The backstory part. It makes no sense to send all your royals to fight something
Captain Rex oh right. Yeah, that was dumb
Yeah, that was kinda dumb. Don't they have a Special Ops team to do that kind of thing?
For that matter, why even have literally any important figures of your country go on an extremely dangerous, life-threatening foreign expedition?
Lord Viren: But i know best because...because i think so!
10:04 such an amazing description and impression of Virus-Butt
When Amaya collapses in the queens arms she askes something along the lines of "how does my face look?" the sister responds with "Eh, not great" and then something like "but you should see the other guy"
Small warning of a butt joke below!!!!!!
There is also another scene that is not included in this video where king Harrow explains the plan to take down the titan. He does this by pointing with two fingers while gesturing in different direction. Amaya looked worried/disturbed before turning to her sister and starts signing "Hahaha, that sign (the one Harrow made unintentionally), now I understand"
This is because that sign basically means/looks like you put your fingers up someone's butt and not to shoot with ballistas ;-)
This tanslation is not my own and comes form the youtube channel "Let's chat"
They have a translation on what Fave says?
me: turns up volume to the max cause its too low
video: AHAHAHAA
me: shook
"You are an adult without a crown, and I am a crown without an adult. Let's begin". This was the line that made Aanya my favorite character! :D
4:07 "I disagree, but I stand by you anyway....Therefore, I'm going to needlessly risk my life alongside you, rather than stay behind with our two young children and be the designated survivor to rule the kingdom and raise our sons if you die on this quest."
Also bless you both at 8:18 for calling out the queens for their totally unnecessary tragic deaths...being The Gay doesn't grant anybody a pass for horrible decisions....especially when they leave behind an infant daughter (who's either adopted or only has a legitimate claim to the throne through one mom) as the only heir to the throne, in the face of a famine which could've resulted in the collapse of the kingdom if their quest had failed.
(Also, Aanya was super off the mark with 'by sending a million to die in violence', we saw how large human armies are in the Dragon Prince universe and they are only a few thousand strong, for each kingdom)
...Yes, all of this.
1:54! AAAHHHH!!!! WE HAVE ANOTHER LORD OF THE RINGS REFERENCE!!! Btw I love ur guys videos!😁

Omg the Wizard101 reference at 0:29 I could not 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aanya seems like an awesome character, but it's sad that when I see her being a child but also a competent ruler, it makes me sad when I realize what Frosta could've been. But no, the writers of She Ra do nothing with her. Whenever I write my fanfic redoing the whole series, she's definitely at the top of my list for improvement. And yes, Kyle will get lots more love and good moments.
Well, they wrote her as an actual child, nothing wrong with that. Not every child character has to be unreasonably wise and competent.
Why would childen make competent rulers? 99% of the time they end up being the worst rulers.
WAIT FOR WAIT FOR IT WAIT FOR IT!

OK FIRST OF ALL SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3
(Note that at the start of the show, it has been months since Viren got it, yet he isn't doing anything with it.)
3. Aaravos is implied to be like Prometheus, he gave humanity means to fight back against dragons and elfs that were oppressing them. ("You ARE lesser beings.")
2. Viren literally says to Claudia, "the egg is too dangerous, it can't fall into the wrong hands."
