I'm a "veteran" using PS since layers were introduced. So layers are second nature to me BUT I like this tool since as you say it streamlines and saves time (which is money). I know photographers who don't' like change -well too bad for them. I gobble up most of all new tools/techniques that enhance my workflow. Less time on the computer and more time out and about shooting.

Thanks for the explanation. I don't really see any difference in the amount of steps required. You still have to select the adjustment you need just the same as adding a layer, so don't see any real advantage. Just my opinion though.

Thanks - I didn't know it existed. I like how easily it made the adjustments!

Thanks Brendan for another great video. I think this feature like many others is just the evolution of Photoshop making the program easier to use. Every version of the program gets better and more intuitive helping beginners and making it faster for experienced users like yourself. The use of AI now and what it can achieve was just a dream only a short time ago.

I am sure I will use it. On many of my wildlife image I like to darken the background a bit, while increasing the exposure of the subject if appropriate. Looks a lot like a may of used a flash or the sun is hitting the subject. This brush would make t a LOT easier!

I think I probably fit in that target group that you described, fairly new to Photoshop, but looking to use the tools better. This looks like an easier way to make adjustments, than in light room, with their brush tool. Plus, I really like the intelligence of being able to automatically identifying and isolate an object. Thanks for the tutorial! It was very helpful.

Good video. As of now, the adjustment brush is my new go-to tool for whitening teeth.

Hi Brendan, I agree I think the new tool is a good think and will help everyone. However there is another new tool on my beta version, it looks a little like the pen tool which most people are scared off...(inc me). I wondered if you could let us know how to use this one? Great video...Colin Devon uk.

What is the name of the tool? There isn’t a new pen tool version that I am seeing.
If you are thinking of the curvature pen tool, I discuss that and all other pen tool versions in my “pen tool masterclass” tutorial posted the other week on my channel.

Hi Brenden, I believe it's called content aware tracing tool. It just appeared in my beta version. I've probably made an error...Thanks Colin, Devon.. uk

Theres another group I think this helps massively and I`m in that group. This group is people who subscribe to the Photography Plan with Adobe and have access to Photoshop, but very rarely, if ever go anywhere near PS, because they find it scary and intimidating, not very intuitive and has lots of steps to remember to get a simple task done. Then its a vicious circle because as you dont use it, you never get comfortable with and learn it.

Thank you, Brendan. This was the best explanation of the adjustment brush tool I have seen. I am not a beginner but neither am I a rank amateur - nor do I seek to rise to the level of expertise that you or others in your august realm of knowledge have attained!
Suffice it to say I am quite good at using the various tools Photoshop avails us of - but given my role is a creator of visual fine art, which I then sell for more than a few shekels to my clients? Being so versed as to be a tutor of the craft is not needed. I just need to know HOW to get to where I want to go and, if that means I have to spend some time seeking out an arcane technique - so be it - I may never need it again. I am sure you can understand.
This tool will - now that I know how to use it - will undoubtedly prove helpful - when and if needed - thanks to you kindly taking the time to explain it to us; thus saving us stumbling around on our own in a hit or miss fashion. Your effort is very much appreciated.
Keep up your good work - because - we inquiring minds want to know what we don't know! Take care.
    Erik
