I am on a journey to become a pastor and as I'm listening to this one of my mentors pastor Jessie comes into my work. We discussed parts of this sermon and it hit hard as we both are on paths that need vision but are anchored in Jesus. We both are on fire for the men of Teen Challenge, a men's recovery center in our town.

My journey has been an easy but a hard one lately. Lately I've been struggling with fear. Fear of somebody/ Something will attack me in the middle of the night, causing me to sleep really late which really affected me alot. But recently, That fear became less intimidating. I've always been scared of listening to sermons or reading the bible or worshipping the Lord in the middle of the night.But now I know that I should just keep my mouth shut ( when I'm scared and overthinking) and just let God do his own thing.i know that Jesus is my hope and then I know that he'll protect and love me more than anyone can. I know that he'll always be by my side. Praise Jesus!
We do not have a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. I recite this verse when I struggle with fear, also sometimes at night. Our fight is not against flesh and blood so it's good to proclaim God's word over our life and situation especially in situations where the enemy might be attacking us. Hope this encourages you, keep fighting the good fight! :)
