The "I am NOT technique" is related to Neville Goddard's teaching of using your imagination in a SATS (State Akin To Sleep) to climb a ladder with the idea that you will manifest the physical experience of climbing a ladder. His suggestion to affirm "I will not climb a ladder" works on many levels: 1) to demonstrate the awesome and "greater" power of your subconscious mind even while you are consciously affirming "I will not climb a ladder," 2) to demonstrate that your greater creative consciousness (the "subconscious") only says "yes" by focusing on the content of what you desire and not the context of what you "don't" desire (in this case, "climbing the ladder"). In other words, consciousness or awareness "excludes" nothing and doesn't not know "not-ness," 3) to demonstrate the power of whatever you put your focus and awareness on, you create (e.g., "climbing the ladder"), and 4) to release importance and resistance on your desired outcome. And while Neville's teachings seemed to only focus on number 1 (the awesome power of your imagination), we are going further with it to show you the insane power and brilliance of affirming "I will not climb the ladder" while imagining that you did climb it. And like many of you, I have a deep understanding of Neville's teachings and understand what he directly taught and didn't teach. But as with Neville and all spiritual teachers, channels, coaches, and others-their messages are always coming through the filter of their 3D personality and focus. It would be limiting and make no sense not to consider an idea just because Neville or some other spiritual teacher didn't directly say it, teach it or support it. For example, Neville talked about "resistance" and even "releasing resistance" when talking about doubt (the "devil"), and said "When you resist evil, you give it your attention; you continue to make it real." The idea is to be aware of it all and continue to level up your understanding each day. Remember, you are the one and only Source of knowing and awareness!

Wow Tom, you answered my question… I am moving and my son will be entering freshman year and I keep saying I have to find the best school for him. That will make him comfortable happy and thriving and I’m doing all the research and I’m looking at all the schools and consulting my pendulum and tarot cards, and the answers are back-and-forth. And today I thought hold on am I trying to change the conditions by doing all of this? Do I simply just affirm that no matter what school or what town we end up in it’s all going to be perfect. Meaning just affirm on the inside in the internal world that everything is unfolding perfectly no matter where I am or what school it ends up being it’s gonna be perfect because I said so. And now here you are with this video and I think it’s a perfect response. Yes, all I need to do is announce it. Master Class, indeed.

And at the end of that scene, the paralyzed man asks why does it matter for him to pick up his mat. The answer is said with laughing and genuine happiness "because you don't live here any more - now your new life starts."

I have a Q on losing interest in a desire versus putting the focus back on you or on something else or just simply releasing the attachment to the outcome. I have had a desire for a SP for a long time, but recently have gotten tired of trying and have “given up”. Now I don’t know if I even want this person. Is my desire gone or am I just releasing resistance and attachment well? TYIA❤
I am in this place right now. I realize that I have not been in a state of fulfillment at all. I’ve been waiting and wanting. Desiring it so much and holding on so tight. Tom’s video on the “I am Not” technique made me realize how DEEPLY I have been waiting and wanting.

When you really want something you will not give up,loosing interest means you are still judging someone, everyone is one so just feel loved love unconditionaly but still love yourself more ,it's the process of your sunmbconcios releasing your old self,what you really desire is meant to fulfilled,but just feel good now and don't judge them by their actions they just reflectedyour inner feelings to you so just don't judge them,start feeling good now,feel worthy and main character and they will pursue you it's not their fault in past it's just your inner feelings they reflected so just forgive them forgive yourself and feel good now don't judge them ,if you really want them they are here just be the version of yourself they just can't resist ,so just be you unattached from any outcome and feel fulfilled now right here right now
If your desire was gone, would you really care if your desire was gone or not? I think you wouldn't be wondering one way or the other (therefore, the question itself indicates the desire is still there.) A different question to ask is what do you want and then fulfill that within imagination.
