  • Back to the normal upload schedule. This is the continuation from last weeks video, of removing the rear subframe off my 240sx. There are a few different methods of removing the bushings, most popular seems to be setting them on fire to melt the rubber out. Im not trying to do that.

Anyone reading this. Put the Solid Subframe bushings in the Freezer before you install them. You can also use an Impact Gun with a long bolt and big washers to sandwich, then draw the bushings into the subframe.

Also you have an ABS Diff(Rusty One) if it has the Sensor on the Nose. Your driveshaft will be a different length if you have said ABS Diff.

You should update your intro to the current cars condition, still showing the rims when they were orange. Enjoying the videos, you've done a great job.

Regarding bushings. I was thinking to use a old knife or sawzall blade. Heat it up with the torch and just melt the rubber. I am about to replacing my rear subframe on my Infiniti. And I will try that method. My idea use once I drop subframe I am going to have more access to the inner bushing sleeve that is attached to the car floor.

a bunch of people go the route of burning the bushings out.. i didnt want to deal with the smell of burning them 😂

You should have the subframe powder coated that way you won't have to worry about Paint chipping off the subframe

StabTheDabb Productions I shoulda did it when I was building my motor and had everything else powder coated... but I don’t want to have to wait for the subframe to get back from powder coating now 😂.. you’ll never really see the subframe anyway. So I don’t mind if the paint chips

    Heat gun?

doesnt look like any heat will work, other than burning the rubber part out, which isnt necessary since theres other ways to do it
