We love grits ,sausages, and eggs every Sunday morning before we go to the Lord's House but the adding of all these other ingredients will take Sunday breakfast to a whole new level. This looks Scrumptious. Thanks for sharing.
It looks fabulous! I've been looking for the perfect recipe that's not Cajun. I think this is it! I'm in Greenville, SC. Thank you so much for sharing. Excellent job on the recording!
OMG! I've had shrimp and grits before and was not impressed and been disappointed. But these look GOOOD!! I might have to try this minus the okra. Please next make Grillades.
Good going Nicole, looks delicious. I make a small batch for myself but will give your recipe a go. I’ll use Southern Yellow corn grits (not instant) leave out the okra, my son doesn’t like okra, but I do, and do everything else. Yummy Have a great day and thank you for the recipe.
Got to try adding the corn and making the sauce. Good idea and looks good. I can tell it has some good flavors in it! By the way I remembered that sauce is like a tomato soup with okra my mom use to make.
Nicole, RE: 2-sided cutting board. The flat side is for cutting vegetables. The side with the runnels is for cutting meats; The runnels trap the meat juices to keep them from running onto the counter or the floor.
wow what a tutorial! and that back of the knife on the corn cob technique looks off the charts gotta try it! I just had a shrimp and grits in New Bern NC and yours here looks 10 times better gotta try.. thanks! 🔥🔥🔥(extra points for political capital bring Mother in Law's recipe in, you're safe from harm for 5, 10, maybe 20 years or life now... LOL)

YUP. Was just coming to say the same thing. I was surprised she didn't since she was already taking the time to peel and devein herself and adding the extra steps to fry the shrimp as well. Only takes a few minutes to make a good shrimp stock.
@@bonniepwtf thanks. i dont like seafood but id like to cook it for other ppl in my life that do like it. kinda nervous about it but i think i can do it. i like trying new things and figure this could be one of them. who knows maybe ill find a dish i do actually like too.
@@mercygirl317 The biggest mistake most people make is over cooking the shrimp. The cook fairly fast & turn rubbery if overcooked. Hope you try it out.🤗

Substitute chicken stock with shrimp stock made by simmering those shrimp shells in water for several minutes then strain

My thoughts as well. Makes the dish shrimper. Yum! 🤤
can you buy shrimp already deveined?
Yes, definitely. That's how I buy mine.
Yes they just cost more

Strange buying gulf shrimp for Lowcountry shrimp and grits when the Lowcountry has great shrimp
List me at okra...😮
small shrimp no need skin peeling
This was hard to watch being from South Louisiana. So many differences
no tomatoes in Shrimp and Grits. Ever. The Rotel really ruined it. BREADED shrimp???? It is no longer Shrimp and Grits.
