Hey there! Olá! You were in my area. I’m between France and Portugal. Culturally, as an American, Portugal seems easier to integrate. However, I’ve gone to France several times over 30 years, and I can adapt, but it does take a bit of work. I enjoy the way the Portuguese people I’ve met can be direct, sarcastic, and caring at the same time. This suits me perfectly. I’m also excited for how close it is to the continent of Africa, and I’ll be able to visit African countries more easily, than from California. I do enjoy spices and herbs, but I that I can bring, and use the fresh vegetables. In California, we do have great produce, but it can be at a higher cost. I love going to the farmers markets. This is something I’d do in Portugal as well. I love the social part of the farmers’ markets. I’m a city person, so near Lisbon south, I think is for me. I need some night life! I hope you enjoyed your time!
Olá! 😊 Thank you for your lovely comment! It sounds like you’ve found a great cultural fit in Portugal. The directness and warmth of the people here really stand out, and the proximity to Africa is definitely a plus. Lisbon is a fantastic choice for city life and vibrant nightlife-perfect for someone who enjoys both fresh markets and a lively atmosphere. We're glad you enjoyed the video!
Anna, i see videos saying Americans are leaving Portugal. You are now saying Americans are coming to Portugal? Not sure who to believe any longer. JP Porto
A lot of the people moved during the pandemic, it was a very particular time. Plus, if people overtime, realize how important their family is. Their priority is to be with them. This is isn’t specific to Portugal. It’s great that people don’t feel like they have to stay in one place. I may move to Portugal 1st, and end up in France or somewhere else. I’m a single person, and I have family in France, besides the US. You only need to assess what you want and enjoy.
@@Nubianette The UA-camrs vary with their comments. Some say americans are coming to Portugal and others say they are leaving. I know on the whole Americans barely rank in the Top 25 of immigrants to Portugal statistically.
Hi! Thank you for your comment. Relocation decisions often depend on a mix of personal and external factors. Right now, the political landscape in the US is a significant reason many Americans are considering moving abroad, with Portugal being an appealing option. This trend tends to be cyclical rather than constant.

I already contact your company but no reply
It’s summer. Europeans go on holiday mid July through August. Business, in general can be spotty during this time.
I’ve had a great experience working with Ana and Diana. Perhaps they were on vacation? I recommend trying again.
