Thanks for the video. I have a Zappi charger at home, linked to our solar power system. It takes 5 hours to fast charge, which the car says gives me 36 miles. The Zappi says it's charging at 3.7kW, is the car throttling that back or the Zappi? Is there a way to charge faster than 5 hours?
Not on this car as we usually charge the Volvo at home but we once charged after we had been diving for a couple of hours in another electric car a Tesla and it made a lot of noise charging as all the fans came on to cool it down . It was quite scary the first time it happened and very noisy . We got out of the car and left it to charge as the noise was quite alarming . It’s never happened to us with the Volvo but we’ve never charged it on a long journey when it’s heated up . We rely on petrol for long journeys as it’s a hybrid
Mine is about 15 hours on 110 standard American plug. Not great for travel but since we do less than 20 miles a day usually, overnight tops it up. Ours is a 2023 XC90 T8
When the car is being charged it is possible to have the car a/c bring the car interior up to temperature. The Volvo app allows this remotely and has a timer function as well. ( My car V90 T8)
Ours can be a bit hit and miss. When this happens Its usually a connection issue. Switch power off. Disconnect charger and then reconnect them all and we find it reboots . Other reason is if its fully charged the green light stays on and does not flash
Blinking red on the unit close to the 13amp plug indicates a critical fault. First remove the cable from the car by unlocking the vehicle with the remote. Then remove from the 13amp socket. Check the socket, plug and the cable for damage, if all OK, then reconnect and try again. If the problem persists - contact Volvo Support. If the car charges on a public type 2 charger then you may have a cable problem. I would also check you are plugging into a 10amp ring main. Hope you get it sorted.
@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 my mate just bought the car, tried charge at home from zippi wall charger but it has orange light and not turning green, went to public charger, paid for a charger and still same got orange light in car type 2 charger port. Anyway to hard reboot? Or shall they try charge car battery to 10-20% using engine and then try again?
I usually just unplug it and then go through the whole process of plugging it in again and then it usually works ok . They can be a little temperamental

50 miles?
The range is meant to be around 30 miles but at this time of year seems more like 15-20 miles. It great for local journeys.

How long does it take to charge on level 1 well 120v ? If that’s even possible?
Not sure we charge ours on 240V and it takes about 6 hours

Yesterday, i was able to charge like this, but today green light is not going blinking phase. the cas is not being charged. i dont know why

My charger is blinking red light. Whats wrong? Is my charger broken? :( Just bought this lovely xc90 t8.
