Such a beautiful set Therese. I love your card the color is gorgeous. I hope you are keeping safe and your family staying well , must be soon your holidays shortly. Enjoy your holidays , hope you get time to relax and stamp some more cards. Till next time. Happy crafting. Take care darling enjoy your week what’s left. Big hug 🤗. 💖💖💖💖
Thank you so much Patti! We are on holidays and now and had to leave early as the border shut with only 24 hours notice, so it was all a bit rushed. We head to my brother's tomorrow and can't wait to catch up with some family, it's been such a long time. Hope you are staying well too, Hugs Therese x
I recently found your channel and just love the colors on this card and the technique! Absolutely LOVE it! Thanks for the inspiration!!!! Just gorgeous!
Its such a lovely idea. Stencil layers seem to be easier than the stamp layers. And what a pretty card. Thank you for the inspiration. All the best, .wish you good health.
Wow again, Terese. The blue of these flowers reminds me how rarely I see blue ones. I remember the old technique and this one blows that old one out of the water. I'm sure people will wonder how you did it. The card is beautiful and I'm thankful you have shared it with us. 🤗🇨🇦
Exquisite card, Therese - love this technique. The black centres did seem a bit bold at first, but your initial instinct was great - the finished card is perfect!
Hi Therese. I'm just a tad behind. This is a stunning card - love the technique - love the colour choices and the finished card is to die for. Another inspirational card, so thanks very much for sharing with us. Hugs. XX
My gosh, Therese....absolutely STUNNING....picking my chin up off the keyboard right now LOL! Now that's what I call the true definition of 'chin up buttercup' LOL. Thanks Therese!
Hi Therese, Another great demo! I really like this technique & the stamp & Die set is gorgeous your card turned out so nice. Thanks for sharing and inspiring again, your awesome!
Yes! I thought I was really doing something with the shading, but it doesn't compare to the real dimension that is achieved with layers of paper, like what you've done. This is a technique that I'm going to do.@@lostinpaper
You’ve been teasing us with this video for days and at last we get to see it. I thinks these stencils are a terrific idea and it’s yet another option for colouring from Altenew. Love the colours you’ve chosen and the finished card is simply beautiful. Thank you Therese, it was well worth waiting for. The baby shower card is great too, just love your alcohol ink colouring on that card. You’re always an amazing source of inspiration. Take good care of yourself ❤️
Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous card! I love this layered look but never knew how to do it... And now I do! What a beautiful floral stamp but the coloring stencils make it even more amazing. Therese, I must get this set of blues because they too are amazing! Awesome inspiration and such a great video! 💜
I love this! I remember a card I made years ago like this. My friend thought I was brilliant and loved the card. Thanks for bringing this design back to my memory.
LOVE the grey-blue, and these 'original' greens - both gorgeous on this MUST HAVE set of florals. Aren't those layering stencils the most fabulous idea? seems they are much easier to layer than the stamps! Another masterpiece, Therese! xx
So many beautiful flower sets!!! How do you decide which ones you want? There just isn’t enough room for them all! And I have a sizable craft room. Beautiful card, by the way !
Which ones? Of course I 'want' them all, but yes you are right, I kind of look at the style of flower as I really like to colour so I will tend towards the images with an outline and if they are 'layering' that can be a bonus if I have less time and want to stamp out a bunch at once. Thanks so much Wendy. ps my room is quite sizable too (and full lol)
Very cool!! Absolutely love this card and the fact that those stencils are available with this stamp set! Great video (sure glad we had a video to watch how you did this!)
Love this! Loved seeing the coloring with the stencil and hearing the caution about the delicate portions of the stencil, loved seeing the raised layering technique, thanks for sharing.
Oh Therese, this card is absolutely magnificent, and the colours are so soft and elegant. Love this technique and will definitely be trying my hand at it. Thank you.
What a lovely card and an interesting technique! It’s so pretty! I love those inks...you’ve inspired me to try this technique and those gorgeous ink colors! 🌸🌷🌸
This is my favourite stamp set, die and colouring stencil set of the release and I'm so glad that this is your feature video. Loved your other other card at the blog today too. Beautiful colours and the card was just stunning. Cheers Lisa
I do love the color of those flowers 😍 This technique reminds me of a craft from my childhood. You would cut out various pieces of the same picture, then glue and stack for a 3D effect. I think it was some kind of 70's interpretation of Victorian/Edwardian paper craft. The glue used for dimension would likely be banned today!😆 The big differences, we have better tools and far more artistic tastes.😉Thanks and have a greatish day🌞🙃
Nesting dies are so versatile, I use mine all the time. My faves are the circles and would you believe the A2 layers dies (which are rectangles). Hope you have fun with this technique!
I've really missed you, Therese! We lost power and had to stay in a hotel for several nights...I will definitely be asking Santa for a laptop, that's for sure :) Another gorgeous card...Love how you layered it with your dies...WOW! Off to check out your blog and any other videos that I missed ~ xx
This is a beautiful card! I really love the colors that you used. That stencil with the layering makes it really easy to create the dimensional flowers. TFS
HELP!!!! Hello Therese! These are such beautiful images! I love florals but it's always so time consuming to color larger images or a cluster of smaller ones. I have major pain issues with my neck that limits the time I can spend simply working on cards. It doesn't allow much tolerance or time for doing a lot of coloring (even though I LOVE to!) The stencils REALLY appear to make coloring super easy! I'm wondering if Penny Black has stencils like this for the line art or outline stamps that you normally want to color in several colors. I'm also wondering how you would stamp the solid images in multiple colors that are not line art. An example of what i'm talking about is the cling stamp called Exhilaration. it's not a line are image that you can simply color in with copics or water color pens so you have to stamp the whole thing at once. So besides doing an artistic monochromatic look or a shadow, you can't get the image it shows as an example on the packaging. Any advice is much appreciated! I have birthday money I would like to splurge on some beautiful Penny Black images!!! I absolutely Love watching you and thoroughly enjoy your card designs as well as your silly humor! Keep smiling & keep shining! Andrea
Hi Andrea, I totally agree that it can take such a long time to colour floral images and if your body isn't co-operating then this can be very frustrating! As far as I know Penny black does not have any co-ordintaing colouring stencils but you could make your own instead... either stamp & fussy cut / use matching die cuts / or if you have a machine like the scan & cut create your own (and it can cut right up to the edge of the image too). Then you can place the mask over top and blend with as many colours as you like, or you could do a base colour and add some simple shading after with pencils.... I have a video coming up very soon using Altenew Artist Markers which shares a VERY quick and easy way to colour flowers with alcohol markers (inspired by Yana Smakula) so this may also be a good option for you. As for stamps like Exhilaration a fun way to use these is to add colour directly to the stamp with dye inks / distress inks (which you can spritz) or, my fave, with Tombow Markers (as these get all the details). Red rubber is perfect for this and there are many examples by Jill Foster and Heather Telford. You will need a tool like the MISTI for this technique as you can keep coming back in and adding more colour as you want. It's a great way to use this style of stamp that is not just stamping and colouring or as a silhouette. Thank you for your lovely comments and for taking the time to visit me! Hope you have fun spending your birthday money, Crafty hugs, Therese x
This card is lovely, Therese! I haven’t seen this technique in a while and of course have forgotten all about it. The Misti will make it fun again and thanks for the memory jog! Love your description of the first blue you used1

Nice card, but all the colouring on separate pieces of card is not necessary. Simply colour one image and die cut the layers from one image, layering up with different thicknesses of foam tape.
is very very beautiful flowers!
Yes they are! Thanks so much Barbara!
Beautiful card thanks
You are so welcome Thanks Glennis!

The Misti is the key here, otherwise it's all smoke and mirrors lol.
Exquisite card, Therese - love this technique. The black centres did seem a bit bold at first, but your initial instinct was great - the finished card is perfect!
I am glad it worked out, i think the bold sentiment helped, but next time I wouldn't create it with them! Thanks so much!

This is a beautiful card! I really love the colors that you used. That stencil with the layering makes it really easy to create the dimensional flowers. TFS
Thank you so much Nicole, these stencils are amazing!
HELP!!!!
Hello Therese!
These are such beautiful images! I love florals but it's always so time consuming to color larger images or a cluster of smaller ones. I have major pain issues with my neck that limits the time I can spend simply working on cards. It doesn't allow much tolerance or time for doing a lot of coloring (even though I LOVE to!)
The stencils REALLY appear to make coloring super easy!

Hi Andrea,
I totally agree that it can take such a long time to colour floral images and if your body isn't co-operating then this can be very frustrating!
As far as I know Penny black does not have any co-ordintaing colouring stencils but you could make your own instead... either stamp & fussy cut / use matching die cuts / or if you have a machine like the scan & cut create your own (and it can cut right up to the edge of the image too). Red rubber is perfect for this and there are many examples by Jill Foster and Heather Telford. You will need a tool like the MISTI for this technique as you can keep coming back in and adding more colour as you want. What an awesome card! Beautiful! I am going to try this. Thanks for the inspiration (again). 😀👍🏻💜
You are so welcome! Thank you Lynzey!
This card is lovely, Therese! I haven’t seen this technique in a while and of course have forgotten all about it. The Misti will make it fun again and thanks for the memory jog! Love your description of the first blue you used1
The MISTI makes it sooo easy, hope you have fun with it!
Just discovered your work great stuff nice work
Yay, Welcome Diane! I am so happy you are here, I hope you find some inpiration.
More of these please
This was a seriously fun card to make!
Oh! I love this! Where do you get the Post It tape from?
Thanks so much Rennie, from memory I found it online on Amazon, but I've also seen it in stationery shops and Big W (Walmart) etc. Hope this helps
The black was a bit much for the flowers, but other than that it is gorgeous. Now to your blog.
Yes I totally agree but didn't want to start again, adding the thicker black sentiment helped with a bit of balance though lol
Therese what lovely card. How I wish Altenew had brought these stencils out before the layers of stamps they look so much simpler to use!
I think they are easier in so many ways and can be used in similar ways... it that makes sense lol.
You earn thousants of thumbs UP!! ;o)
hahahaha thanks so much Sabine!
Cool technique. It does look much simpler using MISTI, What did we ever do without it? We did not make this fabulous of a card, that's what. If you're like me, you made a lot of messes and wasted a lot of cardstock. lol
Oh yes indeed lol. I was naughty and just bought the 'new' MISTI... I can't wait to unbox it and see what all the hype is about (sssh don't tell my hubby)
@@lostinpaper did you? Let me know if it's worth the price. I'm still using my original, you remember the first ones that had protective film to cover the grid? It's in perfect shape and it's gotten a workout. I won't tell.We crafters have to stick together.
You really have blown the old method if triple stamping out if the water with this update!
Thanks so much Thilda, but it's thanks to the MISTI really lol.

Do you sell to australia
I have links to the supplies that I used to create this in the description below the video. Some products are available in Australia others are from the US but do post to Australia (usually).
Nice card, but all the colouring on separate pieces of card is not necessary. Simply colour one image and die cut the layers from one image, layering up with different thicknesses of foam tape.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. That's a great technique too
Beautiful!!
Thank you Gail! 😊
