The Houthi guy is a soldier. He has confirmed it multiple times on social media. For some reason people keep getting the impression that he's not. Probably because he's media trained. So he's kept it ambiguous in his interviews.

I just hate Hassan so much. Dude is a walking paradox, does absolutely nothing productive with the massive platform that he has (aside from raising money for Gaza, which is absolutely commendable), and is so terrified of his chat turning in him he just panders and says whatever the fuck they’re going to like. There is nothing appealing about him or his content

It would be, if the money actually went to the people of Gaza who were most affected by the conflict. Instead, it's going into the hands of the Gaza government and Hamas.
That's what happened with Ukraine, that's what happens to Donations to South America and South Africa. It's a certainty Gaza is the same. Unless those people have a bitcoin wallet you can deposit into, they aren't getting the money.
Additionally, Hasan being so pro or at least neutral to Hamas makes it to where even if he read the fine line and saw where the money went, he would still set up a donation.

That’s why it’s a double standard for him and not anyone else. It’s insane to accumulate the wealth he has been able to generate because of the freedom in America. He has the freedom of choice with so many options to make the best financial decisions for his monetary gain and cool he does charity but it’s just gross as fuck to influence his negative perspective onto a huge part of the population. I think other lefty streamers listen to hasan’s rhetoric and regurgitate it. Creating more and more outrage in the country that is imo completely unfair. Criticize yes of course but with some tact.. Thing is, pirates are/were more or less the terrorists of the time. Highwaymen on the high seas that hurt global trade and attack gov/military ships and installments and their civilians, cities, and harbors. Plus, they were often slavers, as you say. I've never seen OnePiece, so idk about their lore, but real pirates were F-wads.

As a person more than halfway through a bachelors in Political science, papa gut doesn’t get international politics at all. saying America is humanitarian because we don’t destroy countries is insane. Really wish he would just stay away from these topics and focus on domestic politics where he is more knowledgeable.

I took a psychology class and now I understand the world.
A large margin of American humanitarian efforts would not be necessary if the state didn't engage in pretty extreme economic exploitation and government overthrows. It's not humanitarian if we are just barely cleaning up after our own messes.
It really sucks because every disaster will show you how extremely charitable the average citizen is. Americans are incredibly humanitarian, the nation itself is not.
