화혜장이란 전통 신을 만드는 기능으로 목이 있는 장화 형태의 ‘화(靴)’와 목이 없는 고무신 형태의 ‘혜(鞋)’를 제작하는 기술을 겸비한 것이다.

낙죽(烙竹)은 달군 인두로 대나무 표면을 지져서 그림이나 글씨를 새기는 기능이다.낙죽 기법으로 화살대,침통,칼자루,병풍,담뱃대,부채,필통 등에 장식 문양을 그린다.

단청장
단청(丹靑)은 궁궐,사찰,사원 등을 여러 가지 무늬와 그림으로 장엄하는 기능이다. 단청은 삼국시대 고분에도 이미 나타나고,불교의 수용과 함께 크게 발전했다. 단청은 목재의 보존성을 높이는 표면 도장의 역할과 더불어 건물의 위엄과 신성함을 나타내는 역할을 맡는다.

Dancheong is a form of ornamental painting that as applied to royal palaces,temples and shrines. This form of ornamental painting originated in wall paintings done during the Three Kingdoms period and evolved with the itroduction of Buddhism. Dancheong acts as a surface coating that reinforces weak timber. It also contributes to a buiding's majesty and air of sacredness.
매듭장
매듭은 여러 가닥의 실을 꼬거나 합하여 여러 종류의 매듭을 짓고,술을 만드는 기능이다.

궁시(弓矢)장은 활과 화살을 만드는 기능이다.
전통 활은 쇠뿔과 쇠힘줄을 사용한 각궁(角弓)이란 점이 특징이다.

나전장
나전(螺鈿)장은 나무로 짠 가구나 기물 위에 아름다운 전복이나 조개 껍질을 갈아 문양을 오려 붙이고 옻칠을 해서 완성하는 기능이다.

갓일은 갓을 만드는 기능이다. 갓은 조선시대 성인 남자들이 외출할 때 갖추어야할 관모(官帽) 중 하나로 주로 양반들의 사회적 신분을 q반영하는 용도로 사용되었다.
