I am from India, I can't attend a acting school and that's why your all videos are so helpful and valuable to me. Thank you so much for helping me though your videos
You’re welcome! I’m glad I could help. Try to find other actors in your area and keep growing your skills. Or find plays and produce them - that what I’ve done and it’s not as hard as it seems! Best wishes, Bryan
@NeuroActing Glad to know you are so connected to India, Bryan. Please do let me know if you are coming to India again any time soon. I am from Hyderabad and we theatre artists would love to have a may be 2 day work shop by you in Hyderabad. If there is a chance for something like that I can help curate for the space. Thank you.
I love that question, because acting is all about focus and imagination. In a scene, our mind has something that it's focusing on, which is what we want to get from the other person. That's our objective, and it's always in the back of our mind. We also can create some short-lasting focal points, which are things that we focus on for a few moments, and we use those as anchors to give us the next ideas for the words we're going to say. For instance, right now in my bedroom I can see what's out the window, I can see a nice light that's on a table across the bedroom, I can see my dog in my bed. And there's nothing to stop me from re-creating that in my imagination in the scene, so that I go to those focal points to help give me the next ideas. Does this make sense? Just imagine where you are right now that you're going to choose three objects where you are right now, and imagine that they are giving you the ideas which then become the lines. The more focal points that we give ourselves the more natural the acting will be. Let me know if this doesn't make sense or you need more help.
Hi Grace, yes indeed. I’ve put together a complete acting “outschool” called The Actor’s Way. Each lesson builds on the skills that you learn and it ends with preparing a role. Check the playlists in this channel or visit www.neuroacting.com. Loads of exercises, information, advice and 70-page course-book. Good luck and let me know if I can help you further.

Thanks I’m gonna make it really believable!!!
That’s the beautiful thing: if it’s your truth it IS believable because your truth is our truth!
This reminds me of team America. "Damn that's some good acting". 😂
METHOD ACTING… @$%# YEAH!!!
You talked about finding an object to focus on from time to time. Does it come easily even to someone with ADHD?
Just curious:)
