Okay, here's what some of you may not understand. When a singer has to sing all of their songs 300 times a year, they have to find ways to keep their voice healthy. There's probably only select shows where she hits those higher notes. Also taking the songs down to what we call a half step or one fret down on the guitar is not uncommon.
I've done it when I was sick and knew my limits and had to try and last a whole set without loosing my voice. People seem to be spoiled by the perfect pitches they hear from studio recordings. In a live setting, so many other things are factors: Can you hear yourself over the band, over the crowd. Each room has different acoustics as well and if you don't sound good to yourself, it can make you nervous and weaken your voice some. Also adrenaline effects you as well. Anyway, I could go on. She simply pacing her self to last the entire tour. So kudos to her. She knows what she's doing.
+J.W. JDUB and it works the other way too , lower , softer voiced sexy sounding songs may be hard to cut through live in a loud environment compared to the studio so a singer would take the key up a little , its no big deal

The way she can manipulate her voice to ensure she takes care of it is splendid... don't care what anybody says... she's smart. It's as simple as that! She sounds stellar.

Of course she can, it's her song so she can't really sing her own song wrong because she created it so she knows how it is supposed to go and sound like.

Artists have changed arrangements for live shows for decades. Some will be the original and some are altered. It all depends on how they structure the show.
I for one think she's a very promising artist. Unique voice and more importantly, she can sing live and sound just as good as the studio recordings.

Wow! I can't quite believe that there is so much 'hate' for taking the song down a SEMI-tone?! It was a rather wonderful live performance and she gets dissed for a semi-tone?
Anyone who knows anything about music will tell you the greatest artists will take things down even a third, Garland, Minelli, Streisand, Celine Dion and Whitney even at the top of her game, they all take the pitch down for live performances. See Julie Andrews interview about the original keys of the Sound of Music. Jeez even Mozart's Queen of the Night gets transposed down. I would rather a great live version down a semi-tone than lip-synch.

Most singers are usually not that good live, you probably have been watching videos with other singers live and they sound completely different from the track. But Jess Glynne is absolutely amazing live, in my opinion. She doesn't sound one bit different. That's usually a good thing. Hope this helped. :)

Oh she is not singing on the original key buhuhu... Give her a brake, at least she is not auto-tuned. Her voice is original, she is likable and kind. Her music has meaning and messages to pass to people. Many singers can't provide us with the original songs when live and come to think that's obvious. Studio records are made solely to be likable to the ear thus sell a lot! Other than that, I think she performed great at this live!

Jess Glynne is one of the few pop artists I actually enjoy, and she didn't even write the song herself, so the key isn't her fault at all. I'm sure if anyone was offered the chance to release this song for the money she's made from it, you would accept in a heartbeat. Plus I think it sounds much easier to listen to and less strained in this slightly lower key

Sotiris Christou ALL pop artists musics are AUTO-TUNED to create the effect of polished vocals!!!!!! The problem with this type of music production though is that for 5 mins it can make a bit of by CloudScout"> money.....95% of the time the artist will have 1 or 2 tracks that sell 'well' and I do use that term loosely since it really doesn't matter these days if an artist get a UK no.1 any more! These commercial z listers (because that is what she is) sell not because they use auto-tune but because they have other facets that sell them....the music is just the 'overlay'.
