Thank you! This is an excellent follow up that I really needed! haha! Also I can confirm the link you provided to the Google Maps file and instructions works like a dream! Thank you again!
@@MSFSFlightPlans No problem. The other thing I've noticed, I'm new to all this by the way, is the end of the flight plan I get from Little Navmap doesn't seem to work on import either, the end point is usually set something like 2000 ft or way more above the destination airport. I'm assuming it's just the same problem as the departure airport, you just have to set the runway or gate again and then reimport once again. I haven't tried this yet so I have to see if that's the right thing to do haha, again I appreciate these videos so much!
Yeah, I noticed that too ... it doesn't look like it's lining up in the world map when you import it. Forunately, since you wouldn't have your autopilot on until after you're up in the air and closer to the path, and then off again as you come on to final, a little wavering shouldn't throw things off too much. I've hear dhtere is some kind of data-sharing issue with LNM and the sim right now.
So far, I've only found two otherwise functional planes where it will load up properly. By sheer conoincidence, they were the first two I was making videos for in 2024 with autopilot. They are the 172 and the Caravan. I've heard Asobo is aware of the issue and is working on it ... so we'll see how that goes.
For some reason mine doesn't allow me to load in a flight plan. Those options are blanked out on my EFB. Any idea what to do to fix this? Could it be a career mode specific thing?
Hi, I have a quick question. How did you get the scenery library working with MSFS 2024? For me, it always says "No Simulator," and I get a red error message in the bottom-right corner saying, "Database is empty."
I have not been able to get it to work yet. I'm getting the same message. I think they are working on it, however. Someone told me it had something to do with data encryption on Microsoft's end.
That should only apply to the inability to load in the in-sim airport updates. I've still been able to import the flight plans, and it will still track your plane in LNM while you're flying around. However, I've noticed there is still an issue with the avionics in many of the planes not properly loading the flight plan, even if it is set up correctly in the EFB.
Right now, no, but only because the information exchange is not functioning properly. I use LNM strictly for VFR sightseeing tours where you aren't concerned about airways, airspace restrictions, etc. For any trip where you are trying to simulate a real-world flight plan, I think the in-game app is probably easier.
Mate - SLOW DOWN - its not a race! Learn how to slow down and modulate the pace of your delivery and the presentation will be much improved, Otherwise, great vid thanks.
I've tried, I can't ... It's a disability. My mouth says it as soon as my brain thinks it, which is always a lot of fun around in-laws. Seriously though - Talking at a "norma"l pace makes me anxious.
Thanks for the update! Happy to hear that MS/Asobo will be working with LNM to get it updated for MSFS 2024.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up on the Google maps. I was really wanting to get some 1st hand confirmation that everything loaded up okay.

@@MSFSFlightPlans haha yes exactly! I just have to remember to stop staring at the amazing scenery in time to switch off autopilot close to approach 😆
Thanks for this tutorial, it really helps alot. I did not fancy crying on my keyboard.
Great! Long life to LNM !!
Thanks for this video
Thank you. Great information.
Thanks Nick !
Thanks for tutorial, flight plan is correct in the EFB but can not get to load into the Gn 530 correctly

Hmmm, maybe. I haven't tried it in career mode. Have you attempted to load it up outside of that, in Free Flight?
@ I just did and it allowed me to in Free Flight. Maybe this is purposeful? Seems weird to me!
Huh ... that is odd. Well, I imagine there has to be some rationale behind that. At least you got it to work!

@@MSFSFlightPlans Thank you so much for the quick response! It’s comforting to know I’m not alone and just clueless.
install msfs 2020 it will use its files while u make flight then load flight into msfs2024
Does not work with MSFS 2024. Simulator is not found by LNM

@ can also use bing map, g map etc on cellphone for that?
I'm not sure about that, I haven't tried it.
hello so it it mean the map now capable to fs2024?
Can you rephrase that question? I want to make sure I give you an accurate answer.

This is ridiculous. Staying with 2020. I bought premium delux version and not worth it. Buyers remorse
Yep ... to say it has been a rough start would be a significant downplay of the situation.
Did the same, but, just like 2020, it'll take some time to get things correct. They will get there..
